Glad you could finish it young man…

Enjoy the moment but keep your head down.
I was there at Belmore for the Max Mannix bomb in ‘84 and don’t want to see that again:

Incidentally, Mannix got the ball from one Mick Potter.

Pretty sure Bullfrog was talking Max Mannix up saying wait till you see him go.
When Max broke threw Bullfrog was yelling go Max go Max and you will never play first grade ever again.

Great moment for a junior on debut.. We haven't seen the smiles on the players faces and the team spirit and passion they've shown for years. These last two games have given the fans a huge lift and it's great to see that the players are finally enjoying their footy again.

Brilliant that he got the pass off of Fox in the way he did. Was a fantastic run, finally one of our forwards actually runs a line when one of our backs is hustling sideways looking for a distracted defender. The whole team seemed to react the moment they saw what had just happened, plenty of love for the junior.

Dug up the thread from 06 in @Malla’s thread. What a wonderful story. So happy for him.

I like how former Bulldog Steve Gearin lifted Max up after his mistake. Good sportsmanship.
Not only former Bulldog but 1980 GF try scoring hero.
I had the pleasure of meeting Steve about 5 years ago at a Sydney sailing club. Top fella, very humble, didn’t make any real money from footy but spoke very fondly about his footy days and his time at the Dogs - back in the days where they played footy for the love of it, not just driven by the pay cheque. Love the humility.

Notice Flanagan was presented with same gap - he stood and watched! sorry for the negativity - just highlighting the difference attitude makes - a half prepared to run straight would add further value to this team.

He was paying $4.50 any time try scorer. Thought it was pretty narrow. But ran a beautiful line straight into a hole. Hope his injury doesn’t keep him out too long.
