This will be the second time not having 2 fg quality hookers kills our premiership chances. Every other freaking team in the NRL has a minimum of 2 fg quality hookers except us.
Season over 100%
wel make the finals yet get bounced out week 1 imo

You watch more Cup than anyone on here. Do you really think he can he do it ?
He got crucified on here for a single bad error the first NRL game he played for us. We won the second game he played NRL for us.

Dragons fans were pissed off when we signed him, as he was being earmarked to replace Mitch Rein at the time. Now they have Garvey.. but at the time Cook was behind Rein for first grade.

If he relishes the chance to cement himself another contract past 2016, he could do very well.

Heres a few short highlights showing his speed: http://www.bulldogs.com.au/news/2015/02/17/cook_looking_to_impr.html

ATTACK: Like Lichaa he's an attacking hooker, will absolutely fly out of dummy half, and if the markers aren't paying attention (and he is allowed to play his natural game), can do some real damage. Being a fullback, halves player and hooker, he has some pretty nice footwork at the line, so can definitely cause headaches if hes in form.

DEFENCE: Pretty solid defensively, and with him and Mbye in the side, even the quickest guys in the NRL will have trouble not being chased down. Cook would be close to one of the fastest in the NRL over 40m.

BALL HANDLING: Last year when he played everyone was like "FFS forward pass" or "FFS dud pass", but this was due to the team being used to slow service from dummy half by Ennis. With Lichaa being nice and crisp from dummy half, Cooks delivery from the ruck will be far better handled.

WATCH FOR: Scrums within striking distance. I've seen him score a few before where there will be a scrum about 30-40m out from opposing tryline, and he'll lock into the rear of the scrum. Ball comes out and he hits the loud pedal and catches the defence out with his speed and footwork. There's another danger spot for Souths were they'll need to mark up on him, and thats 7 tackle sets. If he's back and they kick it dead, with a quick tap on the 20, he could do a LOT of damage, and once Cook breaks the line and gets in open space, Roberts and Tedesco are the only 2 guys I can think of who might catch him.

I know it sounds like I'm talking his speed up, but seriously, he is one bloody quick player.

Dessie is lying when he says he'll call him up. Likely he did this as some kind of bad smokescreen that won't work.

I was thinking the same thing. Hence why he named him straight away.

I predict dessie will name him but swap Mbye and Jackson between 5/8 and Hooker.

Don't think we're ****ed especially when Reynolds gets back. Lichaa hasn't offered a lot in attack thy this year. As long as his replacement can do the same job in D we won't miss him much imo. Lichaas attacking game still developing.

If we play the fast up tempo forward smash game cook will carve up the middle. Lightening quick.

If we play king James-sir des ball we will flop

Should of signed Paul carter mid year
how awesome would our middle defence be if he had been playing hooker for us

why buy him? should have just developed a junior ffs.
Erm...Paul Carter would have done the utility role nicely for us.

On a totally unrelated note, anyone else feel that With Sezars kicking game we'd be nearly impossible to stop? Seriously, he went off and they turned to shit yesterday.

Lichaa has 3 fractures in his lower leg. Will be gone for season and a good part of the off season.

.......

Paul Carter would have been too busy on the bottle to bother to play for us.

I just noticed something (watching the game). COMMENTATORS CURSE.

*Bulldogs player tackled*
*During play the ball* Commentator: Michael Lichaa named and appears to have gotten over the knee injury.
*Lichaa runs from dummy half and goes down*

Just hope Lichaa recovers well and is back for he finals if we make it. He has had a fantastic first year. As for Cook, this is the chance he has been waiting for and it doesn't get any bigger in a GF replay.
Lichha gone for the year. Hes been solid but nothing special. Definitely not fantastic. Lets hope Cook gets a chance. A hooker that is quick out of dummy half and can kick would be welcome. Lichha biggest asset has been his defence. That will be missed but his attack has been pedestrian. Cook could be just the tonic. How quickly we work him into our structure and plays is the challenge. A lot of ball work over the next couple of weeks.

If Cook doesnt get a go and we play Jacko or Mbye out of position and lose then Des has a lot to answer for. FFS it shouldnt even be debated. COOK MUST PLAY HES A F**KING HOOKER FFS!!!!
