That is a low benchmark to beat. Has terrible handling and tries to offload in contact every time leading to errors. Slow and defense is questionable.

But as you said that is still better than the alternatives. Says a lot about the other Centre options we have now
If I read the article correctly, its just until the end of the year.

Definitely better than Montoya/Holland

I will be so mad if this keeps Averillo out of our 17
Cowboys played a young centre at 6 yesterday and he went well in attack. Surely Georgallis takes note of that and grows a pair and plays Avo there

Meaney
Smith
Avo / Hoppa
Lafai
DWZ
Foran/ Avo
Cogger/Lewis/Wakeham/Foran

That’s what I would go with for the rest of the season. Avo needs to get some time at 5/8 in the top grade and Meaney needs and extended run at FB to see if he can cut it for 2021. 2020 should be about getting things right for next season.

Not excited, bit like the Reynolds & Goodwin signings.

Have we got 4 free spots to fit in Thompson, Lafai., CHN & Okunbor

Why are people complaining about this signing for 10 games? Would they prefer Montoya and Holland would they?

Thought he played his best footy with us. Then fell off the map after being touted as a future SOO player. Hopefully he still has the fend and step. Good signing.

Who?? We need a hooker more than anything. Averillo and Foran for a year, it’s all we got. Get Tamou for next two years, packs looking good.

Harry Harris and Grimaldi got hold of him and bulked him up and he lost a lot of his speed and agility in the process.

Very bad move. Sure a step up on Crichton, Montoya and Holland But do we seriously need him. We won’t move too much up the ladder. Not sure why we picked up a bloke that has been finished for atleast 5 years.

like others have said hopefully just for the season. Even if he takes a dollar outside of our “war chest” for next season that has to be considered gross mismanagement. I’m sure the next coach wouldn’t be doing backflips if he is around for 2-3 years.

Cotric takes one spot and hoppa the other next season. If anything it’s better off getting a 18-19 year old to use the Year to develop and come into the team to cover injuries.

It looks like Burton or stick with what we have. Unless someone no ones mentioned pops up that's a good buy.

Operation avoid wooden spoon. I don't think we've played like the wooden spoon team this year but that's where we're.

Are the Club kidding? So obviously they have given up trying to keep CHN. Why the fuck would we want old slow mistake riddled Tim Lafai?
Are we making a push for the finals or something? Why waste the money?

St George centre Tim Lafai will join the Bulldogs for the rest of the 2020 season after being granted a release by the Dragons.

29 year-old Lafai, who made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs in 2011 and played five seasons at Belmore, will link up with his new club at training tomorrow.

Lafai has made 165 NRL appearances overall, scoring 48 tries. In his previous stint at Belmore between 2011 and 2015, Lafai played in 74 matches and crossed the try line 30 times.

Lafai has also represented Samoa on 12 occasions.

Lafai, will be available for selection for the Bulldogs for this Sunday's match against the Newcastle Knights.

At least he can bust tackles. In the unlikely event that he's too slow for our back line (given how slow our players are) maybe put him in the forwards and replace some of our plodders. This may turn out well if he's well coached and trained properly.
