Hey guys, struggling the past few days, I'm running on about 40 mins sleep in 2 days, something isn't right. I've always had insomnia but this is fucking ridiculous.

I'm dead tired, I have no energy, I want to sleep but I fucking can't.
I'm with Southy , go see your doctor. I know when I don't sleep ( or sleep very little) it gives me symptoms of anxiety which I confuse for chest pain/ palpitations . I'm
Sure the doctors will be able to help , you need sleep!!!

Insomnia is a real ****. I hope you kick it's ass soon too. Sometimes when my brain is going a million miles an hour over every little worry in my life I find that repeating a silly mantra in my head like "don't think, deep breaths" while concentrating on breathing only, helps me. It might not work for you but it can't hurt to try.

Like others have said I'd talk to your doc about it as well. Hopefully they've got a solution that will let you get some rest.

Anxiety and irritability are two big side effects of no sleep / lack of sleep.

I'd say a big part of it is the humidity of a night. Heck I went to bed last night at about 11. Woke up every 2 hours to drink. Bloody annoying I tell ya.

Maybe you need one of those misting fans + air-con.

But as others have said, call your specialist / doctor as the might be something else they can recommend.

Actually it's strange.

You can have a day that's 40 degrees:
1. in Regional NSW (e.g Wagga) - Dry and literally hot as all fuck. You'll feel the sun burning you bigtime. Easy to cool down inside though.
2. in Far North Qld - Humid, but still managable. Heat is a little dry, but doesn't feel like 40 degrees. Similar to the Pacific Islands.
3. in NSW - Humid as all fuck. Doesn't feel like 40 degrees, but feels like you are in a steaming hot shower or sauna.

I can live in dry MT ISA with constant 40 C days but 30C with 100% humidity in Brisbane is simply unbearable.
