If he was any good he still would've been better at Haslers boring game plan, but he was shit IMO. It's not Hasler's fault he couldn't pass properly and was too slow to run from dummy half in the NRL. It was Hasler's fault for recruiting and picking him and costing us Ennis and Cook.
Who, Price and Reardon?
Have you watched his style of play in the lower grades, I didn't see all his games, but from what I saw I wasn't impressed. I was disappointed at the signing before he even put on a blue & white jersey. I appreciate it is easy in hindsight to say this, but he wasn't impressive after 19 years of age. Some players have a 'knack' of getting selected in REP teams but are not the 'best' players. Once you are in the REP system, it is easy for lazy REP coaches/selectors to stick with what they know rather than search for the best talent.
To be fair, he ran like a seal on land. He may have ran well as a junior, but not in First Grade. Those three games where he played well were simply because the opposition didn't consider him in their plans... a few more games and he would have been rendered worthless in attack.
