Any update on Karl Oloapu folks?
The silence has been deafening...

w.r.to 2025

Does he retain a spot in our top 30?

Will he actually play in 2025?

If so, when is he likely to take the field in a game?

I'm most excited to see this kid play. He's tough, once he puts on a bit more kilos he's going to be putting blokes on their arse.

He can now......hope he hasnt lost any confidence.

He broke his back…. Spinal.
Thanks B. Its tough on the mind coming back from any injury. Hope the lad can do it. From what I saw he is made of the right stuff. Just a little impatient but that comes with youth.

He did not break anything, there was no injury, his neck problem is hereditary, in the genes. Eventually at some time in his life the problem would have surfaced whether he played NRL or not.

The continuous reference to a neck injury as opposed to it being genetic issue frustrates the crap out of me at times - one of the many "not let facts get in the way of an interesting story"

Didn't someone speak to his sister at the Christmas party and she said he is on track to be back?
there was post referencing a sister - i thought it was the posters sister saying Oloapu's name was on a list of Dogs contracted players rather than the sister of Oloapu being at the party and commenting - could be wrong

Even if he was feeling great after a full preseason, which hopefully he is, Oloapu is still going to need several games in NSW Cup to get his legs and feel for the game back before he's even considered for FG selection. He's still very young and there's absolutely no need to rush him back.

A step at a time.

Yes, I was aware that it was a (previously) undiagnosed genetic condition.
I was simply wondering if anyone had updated information on his progress.

Think I may have heard something along the lines of the rumours Cappucino suggested.
Happy if Gus has tweeted that they were bullshit.

Fingers crossed KO can slowly but surely get back into top gear this year.
Massive potential.

Rumours i have seen about he may be leaving have been weird and surely just b.s.Wtf would he leave the Dogs? Anyway assuming thats all total horseshit I would have thought his rehab would be a 6 month thing maybe a bit longer but I have nothing to reference this to, does anyone recall how long Minichello was off the field for?
