He was in the injured group when I was at training a few weeks back

Hard though it may be, I think we have to cut some slack for Sutton this year. He was a handy player in his ESL & Raider days. @ 6ft 2in / 105kg, he’s a good size. Horrendous run with injuries. TT made a good point earlier about Max King’s history during his previous times at other clubs. Has now proved valuable for us. I think if he again fails to spend much time on the paddock in 2025, they’ll cut him loose to return to ESL similar to Thommo.

The Salary Cap

Here are the official guidelines for the NRL salary cap, including frequently asked questions like what players can earn outside the salary cap, how much can clubs spend, third party agreements and more.

2023	Replacement of the NRL Development List with the NRL Supplementary List, where Supplementary List players will be entitled to $80,000 p.a.

The Cap limit on Supplementary Players is $80k and the total limit for the Club is $650k. Plus players are entitled to $3k per NRL match payments.

Whatever number of Supplementary Players we have they don't have to be registered with the NRL until the Monday prior to Round 1.

If I remember rightly the above post was 24th November, but ...............

The club's General Manager of Football Phil Gould, confirmed on X that six players will be on the development list for next season: Fanafou Seve, Lipoi Hopoi, Joseph O'Neill, Jonathan Sua, Sosaia Alatini, and Logan Spinks.

Since then we know that Seve has left, which leaves 5.


Pretty confident that more will change before Round 1.

Ok, does the arrival of Zyon mean Karl is gone. I haven't seen what kind of contract Zyon has signed but assume he is top 30. Someone would have to make way in that case. Can think of better options but Karl is where the smoke is.

im not to sure, i thought karl was already linked to another team (Dolphins) not too long ago? at this stage i would be unsure of whats happening with him if he isnt leaving.

It's hard to see any footy on the Oloapu horizon in the future.
