No gears on those bikes. Need a lot of strength to pedal them up hills.
Wiley Park was a velodrome in the old days.

I lived through it, and witnessed the change. Places like Belmore were great little villages in the 1950s - everyone knew each other, and looked out for each other. All were proud of their homes. When the red brick flats started erupting, the place lost its soul. It’s a shame to see those great old suburbs turn into shit holes
All the old shops gone replaced by Shitty red brick flats
Wow. I've never seen Chullora so classy.Chullora Drive-in, 1956

For those who aren't aware, the Paragon Theatre is where our team was born!

This is the best that I can do - No. 1 Bligh Street.
Nah the mosque you're thinking of is further west in Lakemba. The Paragon is a gym these days (gymnastics type gym, not like Anytime Fitness of any of that crap). It’s a mosque now isn’t it or am I getting that wrong?
What the hell? I never knew they existed lol. Where are they? Surely they're not active right?View attachment 29186
Try and find platform 26 - 27 at Central station..
I may or may not have a key (I do because of my line of work) but use to sneak down the hard way through the tunnels back in the day. Looking for trains he he oh the old days anyway I was one of those bloody vandals that needed their hands cut off. Man it was fun simple times..
