He might not add much to the Roosters but he could add something to us even if it's just little things like game prep. When the Rooters won the comp with him I remember several of their players speaking about how he was a role model and taught them how to be professional in game preparation etc.

No quite that simple (or cheap), they resigned JWH (4 years, big contract) , upgraded Manu (from peanuts to $550k), resigned Butcher and Taukeiaho plus pinched Faamausili from the Warriors. Ad in Flanagan and JMoz and $1.6m might not cover it. But the problem is Cronk was on around $800k in the cap and $200k outside (car, Harvard and TPA's) and Mitchell was on around $450k (they were seriously screwing him, not that I care), total Cap saving $1.25m

The real issue with any reconciling of the Chook's Cap is that we can't start with presumption of being Cap compliant in the previous year. So doing pluses and minus doesn't work because there is no solid place to start adding and subtracting from.
