Yep. Even Hethrington was looking to get them away but he played safe which was pleasing to see. That was one of the most pleasing aspects of the game..20 offloads in a single game....
It was amazing the offloads we got away and the fact that they were actually planned and not panicked as in the past. If we can keep that going and make them count we will be right up there.
I reckon he is better than Burton and JAC put togetherAwesome, luv watching him play, another good buy
I hope so, love his effort and commitment to the team so farBennett is sure to be sniffing around......but King feels that he owes us for helping him resurrect his playing career, no other team was willing to take a gamble on him, no other team even considered him. King was contemplating retirement.... King was out of the game for up to 18 months. He thought his playing career was over until Baz and Gould threw him a life line. I'd say when the time comes for an upgrade or when others come sniffing around King will always take into consideration what our club has done for him. He is an intelligent kid with a good head on his shoulders.
Another that's getting better as well is Hetherington. Gets his arms free with good control for an offload. something Dufty and avo need to be more aware with aHe was great tonight. Loving the offloads that him and TPJ offer our side.
Hetherington had a few drops eary on, but made up for it and had some very good carries towards the end of the game. He has reignedbin his anger issues and discipline thus far too.Another that's getting better as well is Hetherington. on the right edge.
But overall so happy with how our plays our improving and better execution will come.
Hopefully Thompson doesn't bench him when he returns or eats into too many of his minutes. This bloke has gone up a level since all the praise for his work off the bench early in the season. Now starting at lock, he played 58 minutes today, ran over 170, 77pcm, consistently wins the ruck with ball in hand, 39 tackles no misses, and covered a lot of ground in defence, and towards the end of the game has the drive and awareness to support Docker-Clay off the back of original Wadell offload, grab the offload of ZDC, and provide his own to Flanagan and be a key part of the try of the season.
Needs to be locked in long term, value buy of the season for us.
Thompson was not missed today at all. Max King is twice the player of that pretenderHopefully Thompson doesn't bench him when he returns or eats into too many of his minutes.
A couple of those offloads were done with the confidence and precision of a much more experienced player. He's definitely becoming a fan favourite. So impressed with this kid. Runs hard, makes meters and offloads.
He has a bright future. Can definitely see him playing origin. Kudos to whoever recruited him.
