We can make the 8 if changes are made off the field as well as on the field, young men need to be properly prepared for war and not subjected to disheartening elements, you cannot allow their determination to be affected by treachery, they must be mentally prepared each week, a coach is also a sports psychologist.

I contrast Des to Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold. In the most refreshing interview id ever heard, Arnold explained on radio last night that HIS performance in 2015 WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He said he went away before the current season and rethought every strategic decision....he rethought the roster, training, game structure, fitness levels, tactics, the development program, the use of the salary cap, how he communicated with players and the media...in short EVERYTHING. Is it a fluke that Sydney FC are travelling so well this year? Of course its no fluke.

The team needs to play together as one force .. We could have the best halfback and fullback and hooker in the world but if the players aren't on the same page then its pointless. On the other hand we could have an average halfback , average fullback and average hooker ( yes average hooker ) yet smash teams off the park re 2012/ 2014 bulldogs.

That was Canterbury. Under this leadership group PC BS and community programs are more important then football. Hopefully with what's happened in the last few months they've got the message that we want the old culture back.
