Having a hardcore hump day lol. Listened to a Comeback Kid album, some Madball and now checking out some other old school bands I’m not too familiar with, like Slapshot, Sheer Terror and Judge.
Look into gorilla biscuits, bad brains, blood for blood
Add in some Strife, Terror, Undertow, DBD and Blue Monday to round it out!

After much anticipation, Ne Obliviscaris have quietly dropped a 12 - 13 minute masterpiece called Equus.

The band explains the meaning behind the track:
'Equus' is dedicated to the lives lost during the lethal bush fires that scarred Australia in 2019-2020. Alongside the people who died or were affected, many millions, if not billions, of animals were killed or displaced from their natural habitats, the enormity of this is something that will never be forgotten, and should not be ignored. It is also a warning that the world we live in is changing from the damage we as a species have contributed to.

Within this video, the dancer represents a scorched Mother Earth, from horror to humanity, ever in tune with the heart and flow of the song (and world), and ultimately aware of the inevitable and ever growing destructive cycle we are in.
I hate to think how much production time alone went into this track.

Guitar solos, bass solos, violin solos, mind blowing vocal harmonies in places. The bassline is ridiculously amazing, and I found myself listening out for it across the entire track.

After listening a second time (as I only found the meaning after the track finished), it certainly is conveyed with strong meaning in the clip. From about 7:30 on, it really gets that moody, dark feeling about it.
