He sure did, from 2007 to 2009 for 58 games in which he won a magnificent 43% and in the last year they won the wooden spoon. Same win loss record 43% with City from 2012 to 2017, better than the 40% with Lebanon. In fact the only team he has coached with a better than even record is NSW at 58% which is hardy a recommendation considering the quality of players at his disposal.

You cannot count Lebanon!
They played England, Australia and Tonga...

OR if you want to spin it they were a few minutes away and so unlucky not to beat Tonga to progress to the Semi-Final against all the odds.

Who even wrote this shit?
Sources are also convinced Shane Flanagan is no chance of getting the gig while Canterbury general manager of football Phil Gould remains at the club

Dunno, do Gus & Flanno have history ?

Ciraldo might be great but he'd be a rookie. Paul Green has done OK and won a title. Fittler, no because he's fine with 3 SOO games with a star side. Honest it's a curly one for the Dogs only because there's not a heap of decent coaches around. Toovey's a passionate little bloke and not scared to call players out or try being their bestie (as some of my kids say).

So it looks like S Flanagan tried to hard to talk his way into coaching the bulldogs that he actually managed to talk his way out of it

Gus brought Flanno over to you guys in 04 as the Holden Cup coach and was undefeated. They are mates that still keep in constant contact.

Both of the Penrith halves this week are better than Flanno sadly. Either would be good for our club

AND Gould recommended him for the assistant coaching role at Cronulla.
AND Gould then recommended him as the head coach replacing Stuart.
AND when Gould finished the StGeorge review he recommended that they appoint him as him assistant coach to help out McGregor.
AND Gould wrote strong personal reference support to the NRL for his coaching licence reinstatement.
AND Gould supported his move into the media.

Anyone who thinks SFlanagan couldn’t work with Gould needs to check their history.

Please tell me we are getting Shane. I can’t handle another assistant or first time coach.

There's a difference between them having a good relationship and them being able to work together or if their egos would clash. Look at Gus and Stuart for example. They were close before and then had a massive public falling out after their time at the Roosters.

It sounds like,
Fittler and Ennis or
Ciraldo and Ennis.

Be great if we had a coach who had a 40% win rate after the last 5 years.

Flanagan will surely get a job but
Warriors should have a job opening soon
Tigers soon after
And surely Titans as well

Doesn't anyone in here specialise in IT terrorism..? Can’t one of the techs weirdos set up 5,000 fake Twitter accounts and bombard the boofhead with all the questions we want answered …?
Plenty of cahunts on TK know how to set up fake accounts…
