We can't just release him. Especially when he'd be on a decent contract and he's unlikely to have many suitors after such a lengthy injury.

Hopefully he stays healthy next season and plays well. If not, he'll be off contract and won't be re-signed.

Yeah that’s a fair call. There has been a few instances were his form deserved to be dropped to be fair. For a player at his stage of his career he should be at a much higher level. He is another player living on potential.

I feel for the guy. Was one of our best forwards last year.
Hopefully he can start fresh and healthy come next season.
Even if fit now he would risk coming back too soon and hardly could stop this train wreck of a season.

I'm pretty sure (not 100%) Des had him playing reggie's at stages in his early years here, so that is not completely indicative of matches available.

Not sure what he’s on to be honest. He’s been around a while so you’d think a ball park figure would something around $500k?
