I has the pleasure of meeting Eastwood/Beastwood a few months ago at Liverpool JBHIFI, even though this guy cannot be signed by the club in 2019 he still had nothing but kind words to say about his time with the Bulldogs club, only negative he had was Haslers back ended deals!

This guy is one of the most loyal, kind and down to earth guy out there! I even asked him about Klemmer and he praised this guy and said David just bought a house at Oran Park this year so to me Klemmer possibly leaving for the Knights is all about MONEY and only that!!! I can see why Klemmer wants to go as it is more than double his current salary and the NRL is a business HOWEVER do this when you are off contract mate and NOT when you still have 2 years left to run, the Newcastle Knights needs to be investigated as this is illegal trading!!!

YES I am sad if Klemmer does go BUT for me as a loyal Doggies supporter no one player is bigger than a club, BUT he NRL seriously needs to stop all this poaching of players as what is the point of signing a contract if they are worth NOTHING!!!

Good luck Beastwood, I do hope another club picks you up are you have been great for out club and for one will miss your smile and passion for this club as this is the sort of player we need at our family club!!!

Never a truer word spoken. He was absolutely elated to be involved in our Intrust side and he never once complained about being there.

He was very emotional at Leichhardt on GF day and he stayed on the field and spoke to fans for a long time afterwards so much so that they sent out someone to get him into the sheds.In my eyes I felt he was hoping that the moment would never end and I get that because it must be such a hollow feeling that that is all there is, there will never be that moment of belonging to a team that you have invested 9 years of your playing career and 167 first grade games in afterwards.

Guys with a mindset like him don't come along too often and I am truly saddened that it seems he will never be destined to wear the blue and white again.

We should offer him a deal of some description but I am beginning to wonder if his health is the main sticking point. The club played gently gently with him throughout the heart scare and it was only through a Dr okay that he returned to the field. Pretty sure that if the chance arose they would ( pardon the pun) offer him a deal in a heartbeat.

I don’t get why this guy isn’t signed up for depth at the minimum. I really don’t understand the club and what’s going on. Do they really think by signing every gifted young talent will be a smart thing. They need to mix experience with talent.

And what’s the point of signing young talent... as soon as they become half decent other clubs throw monster money at them and take them anyway. Roosters are smart and so are Melbourne. I’m not sure we would have that much money for all those but we would certainly have money to spend. With all these new coaches at new clubs you never know who will come onto the market.

A shame deswanker had to destroy our beast Pritchard... if it wasn’t for des Pritchard would have retired a dog... he would have signed with us when he came back from England had des moved on... oh well him and Eastwood would always be bulldogs to me.

As for Klemmer... if he leaves I’ll lose all respect I had for him... I can understand $ is main factor but his still very young and has 2 years left. Play this year and renegotiate last year with a extension for a fair amount if you really loved the club as he said he does. If Eastwood took a pay cut then I’m sure Klemmer can understand he stuffed up negotiating himself and should pay back the club who got him where he is now.
