I'm a realist CD, but it is what it is so suck it up princess. I'll be backing the Dogs to win just like most of us on this forum. Would love nothing more but to be proven wrong on those predictions.I can put up with the negativity/anger in the kennel...
But, I will never put up with people saying we will lose to Parra once, let alone twice. I think any Dog fan that would say such a foul thing should be shot. No trial. No jury. Straight to execution.
For the record Isaac Luke missed the 2014GF & Sam Burgess had his cheekbone displaced by jammer in the very first hit up-Not to mention the fact that we were missing our hooker
There's no reason why we shouldn't win all of them. We play Parra at ANZ twice so if you think we can beat them once why wouldn't we win both? Broncos and Panthers will be tough but hopefully we will be on a roll by then. We play 4 of our last 5 at ANZ so that's a positive as well.We play....
Warriors (A)
Parra (A)
Knights (H)
Broncos (A)
Panthers (A)
Parra (H)
Rabbits (A)
Eagles (H)
Titans (A)
Dragons (H)
Where do you see our 6 wins coming from?
Wow I don't think we will get 6 wins even from this generous draw. Mind you Des will work hard to get us into the Finals (where we will get knocked out first game). That way he can say he has got us into the Finals every year of his tenure...
Realistically, I think we can beat the Warriors, Parra (once), Knights, Rabbits & maybe Titans... sorry but I think we will just fall short.
Yeah, I forgot that one didn't I.Not to mention the fact that we were missing our hooker
They replaced Luke with a specialist hooker who played a similar style but who is less prone to stupid errors and brain snaps. Luke is a good dummy half runner but a meathead who gives away too many penalties. He's overrated big time in my view and korisau played well. We had Mbye playing his first ever NRL game not to mention his first time at hooker. I don't know why he was selected. For the record Isaac Luke missed the 2014GF & Sam Burgess had his cheekbone displaced by jammer in the very first hit up-
We staggered into the GF, Souths improved in each final game & peaked perfectly......
How do you work that out. The comp is split between odds and evens in finishing order and then a series of preference games. Why would anyone want to make the 8 this year just to say we did it???
Miss the 8 and we play 14 games next year against bottom 8 sides! Derrrr
While I agree Luke is now overrated at the Warriors, in 2014 Luke was a shade behind Smith as the best hooker in the game & a big factor in Souths premiership run.lest we forget 'bully' was in our system & let loose (yes another one)They replaced Luke with a specialist hooker who played a similar style but who is less prone to stupid errors and brain snaps. Losing a half early in the game is a far harder issue to deal with than having a player with a broken cheek who still plays out the game.
We looked good right up until we lost Ennis in that finals series. Dwelling on what could have been is pretty pointless though.
Luke has been overrated for many years in my opinion. He's just been part of sides that recovered from the dumb shit he did regularly in the past. The Warriors just don't have enough composure overall to cover for his shortcomings. All he was ever good at was dummy half running and the commentators jizz over that. Were just going to have to disagree on this point. While I agree Luke is now overrated at the Warriors, in 2014 Luke was a shade behind Smith as the best hooker in the game & a big factor in Souths premiership run.lest we forget 'bully' was in our system & let loose (yes another one)
When it comes to brain snaps & silly errors Ennis won the Dally M in 2014
Let's be objective
Seriously ? I love your enthusiasm but you must have watched most Bulldogs games this year ..... you know where we lose by record scores. We have only played well in a couple of games this year. As for Parra, they are playing better than us .... I was being sunnily optimistic stating we would win one of the two games against them. I hope I am wrong but I don't think I will be.There's no reason why we shouldn't win all of them. We play Parra at ANZ twice so if you think we can beat them once why wouldn't we win both? Well my research outlines that the comp is split into 2 groups of roughly equal strength based on the previous years finishing position. They play each other twice and the other group once plus a number of key match ups like local derbies, requests and crowd pullers. Or if you like, what I told you earlier. How's your research going?Best you go and do your research hey champ!
Parra got flogged 2 weeks ago and don't exactly have a startling F/A. they have just lost their hooker and second rower for the season and they are going better than us? We have played OK to well in most of our games this year. Yes we got belted in a couple but we all but beat Storm and Chooks and did beat Broncos, Raiders, Dragons. Of course I'm optimistic. That's what being a fan is all about. If I genuinely believed we were no chance year in and year out I'd be watching movies instead of the footy.Seriously ? Undefeated - I like it! I just think there are too many factors that won't allow it to happen! There's no reason why we shouldn't win all of them. Probably, but if you are aiming for something it may as well be the top rather than the middle!Undefeated - I like it! I just think there are too many factors that won't allow it to happen!
