Rothfield has a very short memory.

*cough*
*cough*

Also Rothfield might want to read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NRL_club_owners

Re the Panthers, they are owned wholly by Panthers Penrith Leagues Club who (last time I checked) own double the clubs than Canterbury Bankstown League Club does.

The Panthers Entertainment Group has six licensed club sites in NSW – Penrith, Port Macquarie, Bathurst, North Richmond, Glenbrook and Wallacia
Phils just jealous of our success.

I didn't read the whole article but I'm sure it doesn't mention the sponsors that are lining up, and what turning this club around will do in terms of revenue.. Just remember where Penrith were as a club were when before Gus got involved. You have to spend money to make money!

I wonder if anybody will be sad when Frothfield dies...

To answer your question you old fcukwit, the bulldogs club with their massive supporter base will cover its own costs when they are winning again and selling tickets along with memberships and merch. WHY the fcuk do u think the panthers are making a profit you old twat!

Don't really understand his logic. Cashless game cards still enable gambling. It's not like banning it or reducing the amount of pokies. If anything it makes less real. That's why Casinos give you chips it's because it makes it feel as though it's not money.
It doesn't make sense comparing us to the panthers obviously the back to back premiers would get more sponsorship dollars etc than a team that hasn't made the finals in 5 or so years and for a Number of those years we played a pretty unattractive brand of footy with a pretty lacklustre roster. Been to panthers recently and place was stacked with pokies so not sure what he means there about making a profit without pokies.
Also a number of those costs from last year are one off. The staffing should be pretty much sorted for the next 5 or so years.

Success breads sponsorship. A cashless gaming card WOULD seriously cripples the Leagues Clubs revenues and Canterbury Bankstown is one of the 2 highest gaming LGA in NSW. I'd suggest we need to look seriously at trimming staff, in both Clubs and perhaps Mr Laundy could stump up more for being the primary sponsor. Success will bring that.
It's extreme jealousy tho to mention Goulds salary. We all know he wouldn't even taken the gig for less than $1m a season, so doesn't need to be mentioned. Eventually, we won't need Gus, maybe in 4 years, so no big issue.
