Move Reynolds to hooker (need his passion in the 13) and let Lichaa go
We've already got Woolford waiting in the wings for that spot. We need to stop moving players around for the sake of keeping them.

Unfortunately Reynolds or Mbye needs to go, neither are halfbacks and we need one. Reynolds contract is up first so unfortunately his time is up, the decision makes sense.

Des does not like outspoken/loud players who have an influence on the playing group, be it a good or bad influence.

Its the reason he got rid of Ennis and Pritchard and one of the reasons he has turned Graham into a softcock.

I have never heard of an ex-player who played under Des give the bloke a wrap. You hear multiple players wrap there ex-coach's to the likes of Bennett, Gould, Bellamy.

Whenever Des' name comes up, all that is referred to is his a Manly boy thru n thru and some mad scientist bullshit
Have you heard the ennis and reynolds story?

They stayed back after training to try/practice a few set moves (they came up with) and Hasler was pissed that they were training without him knowing or being there

Woolford can't even make the starting side in our ISP squad...thought he would of been much closer to NRL level when we signed him but i guess Des thinks otherwise.

It is the most logical choice to move him on. It is obvious we have issues in the halves and he isn't going to solve them any time soon. Moses is already contracted so Josh is the one that goes.

Either way we need to sign a halfback for next season. Moses can move to 6 where he should of been developed from the very beginning if the club viewed him as a half...or we can move him to hooker where he has performed previously and is highly rated by the QLD camp. Lichaa can go at seasons end and we can recruit or promote another player to play in the 6 alongside the halfback we should of signed years ago. Hopefully Abbey performs well at fb and can finally solve that issue. Ohh and give the boys a new coach ffs.
This.

From the start I always felt Reynolds was never meant to play first grade lol. Like we had a hole in that spot and he was there, so we filled it with him and he did pretty good in his first year so we kept him. From what I remember I believe he came into first grade as a bench hooker/utility and that's probably his best fit.

Also agree with you regarding Moses. Not a half back through and through - he seems a more natural runner of the ball bence the 6 suiting his game more. Lichaa would be next to go. Really keen to see how Woolford is/will develop and whether that's a spot he can fill.

And last but not least... the coach LOL! Then that's all out problems solved.

Fair enough.

Despite that, I still don't see any sense in firing Lichaa and moving Reynolds there. That just makes another spine position have question marks on it. End of the day, we need to sign specialists for the spine and stop trying to win with makeshift players.

Handled origin alright...
Whats origin got to do with contract negotiations? He's said himself numerous times that he has let rumours and contract issues get in his head before and effect his form

Oh yh i completely agree, we shouldn't keep Reynolds or move him to hooker. But i am open to the idea of moving Moses to hooker like i said in my previous post.

You are defs not worth 800K Josh. Can't see any club desperate enough to pay that much.

While I have always loved his enthusiasm, he just doesn't engage much thought in anything he does. For everything one good thing he does he'll do something stupid.

I think this is a bad move for the club, but hey its a business.
If we dont have someone like Reynolds on the paddock the last couple of seasons, we lose more than we did. But thats my opinion.
The real story will be, we are losing him for what incluson. To get rid of him for no return will be disastrous
Similar with Hodko, while he was far from the best halfback his field goals and goal kicking won us a lot of games we should of lost and made it to the 2014 gf on the back of them.

We're not very good with replacements, Barba leaves and we put 2 wingers at fb and a center over the years and we replaced Ennis with Lichaa.

Yeah sadly thats spot on.
Just think theres a longer list of people before Reynolds. But hey, not 100% yet so will see.
I think we have the right troops, just not clicking and some playing out of position.
This weeks game may prove and hightlight some issues. In our favour Hopefully :grinning:
Actually having some attack outwide will help for sure.

1. Reynolds would get killed as a hooker, his shoulders are already shot and his defence is below average.

2. Reynolds competitive nature gets confused for passion way to much, he doesn't have any passion for our club its not like he used to support us or anything, he was a rooster supporter. He is competitive and thats what drives him to pull out plays out of his arse sometimes but no because of any sort of passion.
