On the Matty Johns show last night they showed a Broncos Gift Certificate which was awarded to Gerard Sutton and the value was marked as two competition points.
Yeah TWO of them one for the Dogs game and the other for the Tigers one. Professors farewell tour....GOLD!!!!

The problems with the refs are that they are fuckin losers. Like there guys are the biggest loser ***** growing up in school. Then they get put in a position of power over the type of people they were bullied by and get carried away.
Just like a tradie who does not cut it becomes the owner of a hardware store......

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/05/07...n-pay-fined-$25000-for-criticism-of-referees/

Bulldogs coach Dean Pay has been hit with a $25,000 breach notice after the NRL deemed his post-match spray at the officiating in Thursday's loss to Brisbane an attack on the referees' integrity.

A fuming Pay described several contentious calls as "ridiculous" and "disgraceful" in the wake of the Canterbury's 22-20 defeat to the Broncos, with his comment "it's like we're not supposed to win" in particular crossing the line.

After Pay made specific complaints about Moses Mbye's game-turning sin-binning and a controversial ruling on a Jamayne Issako fumble, referees' boss Bernard Sutton rang the rookie coach to explain the officials' interpretations.

Sutton defended both decisions as the correct call by both lead referee Gerard Sutton and senior review official Steve Chiddy.

In an NRL media release, Head of Football Brian Canavan said "the comments reflected on the integrity and performance of the match officials and went beyond the acceptable parameters."

Pay and the Bulldogs will now have five business days to respond to the notice, as per NRL protocol.

He is the first coach to be fined by the NRL the season for comments around refereeing in a season when a highly-publicised crackdown has seen penalty counts balloon at times over the first nine rounds.

That is an outrage !!
They got him for that line about not being allowed to win. Surely the NRL could of taken into account the emotion of what happened?
Pay was pissed off and quite rightly so. Will they sack Sutton for making several dud calls ?
Of course not.

The referees are ruining the game of rugby league. And I don't just refer to the ridiculous penalty given against the dogs for the supposed interference by our Morris boy when the opponent was nowhere near the play and the alleged interference had no affect on the ensuing play. The most ridiculous example occurred in the Easts Manly game when the Manly player attempting to catch the ball was creamed by a Manly player before the ball ever came near catching height and to add insult to injury, Manly were given a penalty for another powder puff interference of a player miles away from the play. If Sutton thinks all this is correct, then Sutton has to go. Plain common sense must prevail. Send this current crop of referees to netball with Raelene and their boss Sutton with them.

That should have been creamed by an Easts player. My apologies. But the stupidityo f the refereeing decision remains.

The refs were perfect and completely 100% unbiased. That fine should be higher. Pay basically made death threats against the referees. The completely 100% unbiased review of the calls made by the brother of the referees also showed that they were right. I don't know why everyone is outraged over this.

NRL (RL) is the only code in the world where you cannot criticize the referees where warranteed.

And the dickheads wonder why they cannot lure in the crowds
Can't do it in the NFL or NBA. coaches get suspended for doing that over there on top on huge fines. Don't think you can do it in the AFL either....Don't know and don't care about soccer.

NRL? More like NKRL, North Korean Rugby League.

What a joke. Do these fucking ***** really believe, that with the new stricter reffing, that the broncos were perfect in the last...what, 60 minutes, with no penalties? That the broncos winning like, all of their last 14 or so home games with fuckwit sutton as ref is not suspicious?

Fuck this. While many on here may not like Dean Pay, he has shown he genuinely cares by making these comments. I have never seen a coach allude to a scripted win/loss corruption before and he is right on the money. The dogs board better back him on this.

Win or Lose, that game showed we still have passion and still can play good footy. I wouldnt blame the boys if that game had a big hit on team spirits, as even I have been down on motivation after that.

What if Pay doesn't pay up? What happens next? Can he take it to court and have a judicial review? $25,000 is alot of Money.

The NRL just deduct the fine form the grant we receive every year so its impossible to not pay.
