"Glaring unfairness of the NRL system"
    "Unfortunately for the Bulldogs"
"Seems unfair to make a club"

Are we SURE this was written by a Terrorgraph reporter... about the BULLDOGS??? They must be trying to butter us up to get us off-guard...

    Very suspicious indeed!
Crawley might be looking for a new job soon disobeying his masters like that.
Imagine Limited News saying something remotely positive about the Dogs!

The club needs to tell Foran that regardless of his recovery time the earliest he is allowed back is round 13. This way we get the 350k. Foran should accept that proposal.

I’ve thought that too. We don’t have to select him for any grade and would be stupid to

I feel for Foran, it shouldn't be considered his fault we lose compensation. If he wants to try and play on that is his right. If a player is injured during an international there should be compensation full stop. Clubs have to make players available for these fixtures so there should be insurance.

Exactly right. It’s bullshit. If your injured in a rep game that help promoters the sport and makes the game and the players (not the club) more $ the club should not be held for a loss...

The money is obviously one issue, but one thing not to overlook with the Foran situation is disruption to our young fellas.
He's going to be out for a major chunk of the season regardless - wouldn't it be better to try to build combos with Cogger/Lewis/Wakeham and have them not worry that their spot might be in jeopardy next week based on the injury return of a highly paid player and nothing that they'd necessarily done to warrant being dropped?

Said a number of times, if he's not going to be re-signed I cant see why we would bring him back at all. Does us no favours whatsoever.

If we are in a position (unlikely) to make a play in the finals it will be due to no assistance from Foran.

I like the bloke, but club first.

A lot of these doctors will say whatever they are being paid to say but you’re right, because we aren’t Souths or the roosters the NRL might make it hard for us!

Everyone should just prepare themselves for the $350k and that’s it. There’s no point comparing anything to the Burgess case at Souths because it’s totally different. If Foran retired we would have a case but he’s playing on.

Everything is negotiable, if the NRL doesn't negotiate they are pricks.
They should do a deal that Foran is out of the entire 20 season but can come back in 21.

If people have anger over this debacle, they want to be directing it at Kieran Foran. The bloke is delusional and thinks he's still a 22 year old playing at the Sea Eagles with a fresh body.

The bloke's body is toast and if he wants to do the right thing by the club and it's supporters then he should be walking away and not trying to drag this out any longer.

His shoulders are fkd, his hammy's and back are fkd and by all reports so are his hips. You can't be an NRL team's play maker with that sort of body.

I don't think we should be allowed to re-sign him personally (if receiving the full amount) . I can see teams abusing this. We could pay him out for 2020 and re-sign him on a low contract. He isn't medically retiring and we made the decision to sign him back in 2018. I think it's a good altermaiden.

The real anger should be directed at Dib he’s the idiot that signed a injury prone player to a massive contract when there wasn’t any competition for his signature.

Inglis didn’t get medically retired. Souths offered him a job after football paying him around $300k and the rest of his million dollar contract was inexplicably taken off Souths cap with the NRL blessing the whole thing.
