Write this name down somewhere: Paul Alamoti. Because, chances are on Saturday’s showing, you’re going to be hearing this name for a long time yet.

After close to a year without a game, Alamoti put on a clinic at Belmore to lead the Bulldogs’ SG Ball side to a 24-16 win over the Roosters.

Under the watchful eye of Roosters chairman Nick Politis and his Bulldogs counterpart John Khoury, Alamoti was a class above as the Bulldogs kicked their 2021 season off with a bang.
After less than 10 minutes the big centre set up winger Brendon Tapuai and looked a threat down the Bulldogs’ right edge throughout the afternoon.
He had a few more offloads and damaging runs as the Dogs raced out to a 14-0 lead at the break.

But the Roosters flipped the script to edge ahead 16-14 and it wasn’t until Alamoti got his hands on the ball that Canterbury were able to charge to victory.
The centre scored two tries on a sticky track, scattering Roosters defenders at will to seal a victory for the Dogs.

It's great to see him get off to a great start. He's been hyped for a while so hopefully we can hang onto him.

Was it Alamoti or someone else that was linked to Parra over the offseason?

Putting all pleasantries aside.....why does the Kennel refer to Nick Politis as uncle Nick??? He isn't my uncle and he has fuck all to do with the Dogs. He is a self indulged scumbag. A charlatan, a cheat, a fraudster carrying a feather duster, the type of guy that will slap you on the back and kick you in the ass in the same motion. I don't care who he is....IMO Nick's a douche bag!!!

No, only just turned 17.
Be interesting to see what happens with Joseph Sualli. Roosters trying to get him an exemption to play NRL.
If Alamoti progresses thru to reserve grade and holds his own this year maybe a late season debut could be on the cards

I doubt we would promote him to NRL, will probably play Flegg this year though.

Unless Alamoti totally brains them in Flegg this year I think he will take a similar progression to Averillo. I think the earliest he will play NRL is late 22 but more than likely 23.

You've heard it here first...
In order to keep Alamonti at the club, He will be fast tracked into the first squad !
He'll take the last spot or is that for next year going forward?

you are not going to put someone in your top30 if they can not play first grade, that is just plain stupid
Pulltits was at Belmore for a reason !
The kid is one of the brightest if not the brightest talent to emerge from our juniors for over a decade.
So, your solution is to let him go without even giving him an incentive to stay ?
