What's DCS?

And what's this prepar3d I hear of?
Dcs digital combat simulator pretty good, prepar3d is more for people that are building full cockpits so for now xplane would be a wise choice.

Thank you. I'll check it out.

Apparently, FSX is a good game while X Plane is a good sim.

X plane has it all over FSX in terms of looks, though.

Down the track after the little one is born but not any time soon.
When you are ready to spoil yourself

Thats about 300 bucks which will be well worth it in the long run a set of mid range rudder pedals is very advantageous and a decent yoke ,once you start going over that thats when you need prepar3d and sim avionics

fuck planes

my great grandfather had the monopoly on the zeppelin blimps and i would have in inherited $875,000,000.00 if planes werent invented and put him out of business ffs

i hope the world regretted their decision on 9/11, if the terrorists hijacked a blimp instead then they would have had 8 hours warning to evacuate the buildings before the collisions, idiots

I own logitech its fine for certain things . I have a yoke while its pretty light weight flimsy plastic it adds so much more than a key board though, i will outgrow it one day as its not forced feedback, you will get a shitload of hours out of it .but you got to think where you going with it.
A full logitech set up can run about 3k all up and i think they are based of a cesna
You can always pick stuff up on gumtree at a good price to get started.
That throttle quadrant i posted early i feel is really good price and you will get more joy out of it than a logitech throttle, they are ok but......
Ill post a few ideas and suggestions to get you started, it takes years but thats part of the fun

Awesome. Thank you.

I think, just for now, I'm gonna get a yoke or at worst a joystick to play FS to kind of hold me. I was originally going to have a dedicated room for my pc stuff but we're going to use it for the little one to play in so I gotta set up in my man cave which isn't ideal.

But you know your shit so any advice you've got, I'm all ears.

Pedals as i learnt from sim racing pedals are extremely important same as flight you want a good feel.
I got these they feel great on feet but dying now and to much plastic.

Thrustmaster dropped these this year like really nice and solid but $800 is pretty damn pricey still doing research on them.
images-71.jpg

These babies you have to order from slaw in romania his English is fucked doesn't do PayPal but has a solid as fuck reputation ive spoken with him once
At $500 you will never have to buy a set ever again.

Then you have brunner which will set you back about $2300 they are forced feed back so would be absolutely fantastic but fuck $$$$
