This comment will look very silly once Russia starts a war with Finland and Sweden, triggering a european war with our allies. Only a matter of time.
Let me be clear, this is not about being pro-Russian or anti-Russian.

Where is the justification for censoring a flag for a countrymen who has nothing to do with calling the shots in regards to foreign policy?

A tennis player cannot control that, they are representing themselves and their nation. Censoring the flag is completely misdirected. It looks like collective blaming.

I agree, why go censoring athletes flags just because you Have an issue with that country. They would have been better off censoring Medvedev’s punchable head.

So, what should you do? This is tennis so its all wank and wank, but imagine if say Ukraine are playing Russia in football.

This 'no politics in sport' is just a laugh. If there is no politics in sport, then why does every player have to come from a country? Why not just a bunch of random names with no flags or identification of where the person is from. Why when Novak plays in Australia the crowd is quarter serbian? Why do we go apeshit when you've never watched golf in your life but an Aussie wins the masters?

Sport was politicised years ago. You either ban Russian players or ban the flag. At least the players (who have probably nothing to do with this although I believe Medvedev had some interesting comments at the beginning of the war which he backpedalled from real quick) still get to make coin.

lol @ the sheep screaming it out

Novak is too strong mentally to go along with the BS.
I reckon most of those are jeering at the vaccine cultist.
Can't hear much descent after he rammed that ace virtually down his gutless throat

I agree. I was making fun of the Russian apologists that defend Putin's decision to invade, but the actions of Putin shouldn't reflect on everyone. Sports people should still be able to compete under their flag.

I guess Afghanistan was more about terrorism, iraq was more they took over kuwait and keep threatening the west all the time like nth korea does now. Saddam was a prick anyway and had to go. But the dumb thing is relating the ukraine conflict with the iraq conflict. Nothing alike and pretty ignorant to think so
actually i think russians have more of a reason to invade since its across the border rather than the other side of the world and ukraine wants to join the organisation NATO which was set up to oppose russia and which they were promised to not be expanding

lets just say these ingredients happened in australia, if in the 1950's china had an anti australian organisation called SPTO, the south pacific treaty organisation set up because china, vietnam, indonesia and north korea wants to make sure australia doesn't expand, if australia attacks any of these countries then they would all go to war against australia

then aboriginals in NT want their own country, australia gives it to them in a referendum but then the new aboriginal country joins SPTO and soon chinese, vietnamese, north koreans and indonesians are on former australian soil

i guarantee if that happened then you would feel uneasy and want to know why there seems to be a SPTO expanding blob still trying to fuck with australia

the highlighted part is where you have made a leap, there aren't just 2 options ban the player or the flag, how about allowing the player and the flag?

ukraine playing russia in football should also be allowed, iraq had to play australia at the 2004 olympics, in 2005 and again at the 2007 asian cup, nobody was banned

these scenes might describe people simply happy that their country won a big match but i remember these games being politicised, many references to iraq playing an invading country and when they went on to win the asian cup their players had to publicly shut down george bush who tried to take credit for the win

still waiting on what makes iraq different from russia so that you must ban russia but not the iraq invading countries

you should at least try to explain it, for example if you invade a country because you believe they had WMD's then its ok to participate in sport but its not ok to participate in sport if you invade for other reasons, specify them

Or I should acknowledge you eat pancakes. You see, there was a time that I thought, yes - you can have a reasonable debate with ole Rodzy. Now I realised you just eat pancakes. Done.

btw if russia decides that ukraine is going to be too tough to take with conventional war, they should be able to drop 2 nuclear bombs on ukraine to save russian lives and still be able to participate in sport

i don't know about 3 though maybe thats too far, but we do know 2 is ok

Nato was set up as a defensive alliance to deter russian invasions. Russia historically for centuries have been invading their neighbours. They took back 2 states of the ussr before they got to ukraine and have said they intend to get more. When u have terrible neigbours you need a big fence. Nato is a fence. They dont have invading russia or anywhere else on their agenda. Most ppl commenting about it here are showing a shitload of ignorance. But more likely just trolling.

btw russian pornstars go into the EU countries where porn industry dominates, like czech republic, hungary and romania

you tried to assert that russians with access to the EU would get educated and avoid porn
