Considering the upheaval around him it’s surprising he lasted 3 years. If you have that much change around you it’s pretty hard not to have some level of baggage with attachments to people that have left. That’s not a slight on Hill by the way just more of a comment about the state of the administration over the last 3 years.

James Hooper... your a fuckwit
He and others in the media fail to articulate a distinct difference in Hills resignation versus Ray Dib/Ms Moore & co. Hill resigned on his own accord, hardly bloodshed. Most people move on after 2-3yrs in a role, they must be desperate for a newsworthy day.

Articles say we sacked him with no warning.. Typical bulldogs boardroom instability blahblah but also say he basically has another job.. If he had feelers out ,shopping himself around what would you expect the board to do. We wait a few weeks or months until hill finishes his negotiation and quits during the season. Fuck no you stand tall and strong,.get on the front foot.

They’ll have a ceo ready to go. This wasn the last piece of messy business they needed to do before the season started.
It will all be forgotten about by the time a ball is kicked. The Board made sure we did all our recruitment business too. Well done!

We've done so well the last few months ie players purchased, sponsors, support staff etc.
I don't think we should let a CEOs departure be the focus like our season is about to derail before it has even started.

Doesn’t matter what the club does, it’s painted in a bad light. Same scum journos that run the smear campaign will be singing our praises when we’re back on top, albeit begrudgingly. Fuck em - death, taxes and the Dogs selling papers. We win a couple in a row and the ***** will be writing about our shrewd business acumen.

Winning shuts them up and that is what must be done. Everyone will see through journo dribble if we have a marked improvement on 2020 and they still lay the boot in.

Yep exactly. This is just speculation but it's very possible that the board caught wind of Hill talking to other clubs or that he was setting himself up to leave and called him in and put his resignation letter in front of him. Could explain the shocked quote from Hill, maybe he was just putting some feelers out there but once the board finds out they have no choice, his position as CEO would be untenable.

Why was he looking elsewhere if allegedly had been granted an extension? thats of concern is there still shit going on internally or are they just ruthless fuckers and he had too many "stains" attached to him idk...
We shouldnt be worried, there will be a good replacement available and this speedbump will not derail the teams progress one bit i wouldnt think.

Surely he would have got caught out doing something, imagine how much worse it would have looked for the club if the media found out about something and the club hadn’t done anything about it. For it to be done this way and with all this media shit that the board would have known will come with it, something smells a bit fishy

Don't get it hey. The press are saying we're bad for sacking him and that he was shocked. But then jk saying this, "We are appreciative of his professionalism in signalling this early enough for us to find a replacement in time for the start of the season."
