I got no doubt, Gus keeps them informed of the mind games he plays to make sure they have a unified front and no one is left holding there dicks when questioned by certain parts of the media...
So many kennelers are losing their minds over how Gus behaves and what he says in the media. It's disappointing, but bemusing man. I would've thought they'd trust him by now, but obviously not. I give about zero fucks to what he says. The only thing that matters is what he delivers! And so far I'm quite happy with what that is. He's cleaning out a lot of the dead wood and I'm sure whoever he and the others choose as coach will be a good decision.

Honestly, raving over "oh Gus said this", and "there's been no announcement of the new coach", etc etc is just futile. Wait hntil something has actually happened. As if you'd take what he says on 100% footy as gospel! He acts the know-it-all clown on that show.

Be very careful rating coaches based on their win/loss results at St Helens;

Justin Holbrook St Helens - 80% and Titans - 30%
Mick Potter St Helens - 72% and Tigers - 35%
Nathan Brown St Helens - 63% and Knoughts - 26% or Warriors - 35%
Daniel Anderson St Helens - 74% and Parramatta - 48%
Royce Simmons St Helens - 59% and Penrith 41%

Yes, Woolf did a good job with Tonga, but so did Mick Potter with Fiji.

Always a Bulldog
I've also said Potter wouldn't be a bad permanent coach based on results so far. I'm not basing my view just on Woolf's results with Saints. As I said before, it's based on his 2 decades experience in all different grades and settings (school footy, national team etc.) and he has had success at several of those levels. Looks like a guy ready to take the next challenge to me.

Whoever is our coach we're going to be paying them top dollar. Fittler is openly saying he's happy with his 2 current gigs (he would have dreamed of as a child). So basically he needs an offer too good to refuse (seriously as a failed NRL coach ?). Now we have competition for all available coaches so they can push their prices up. We knew Maguire was likely to get dumped any minute since last year and Brown has been likely for weeks also. We should have signed Flanagan weeks ago at a cheaper rate.

Of course it's always the coach's fault, nothing else ever has any effect whatsoever on the team's performance. The fact that the club was in debt almost $10m and was threatened with foreclosure has no effect at all. The fact that they had to go to the NRL because the banks wouldn't loan them 1 more cent is also irrelevant. They told the NRL unless they gave them $4m that they wouldn't be able to pay their players, if you really think that had no effect on the players then you are farkin dreaming. Does anyone in their right mind really think that the Tigers not having finished above 9th for the last 10 seasons is Maguire's fault.

I am not for one second suggesting that I want Maguire as our coach, but FMD it's obvious that the Tiger's problems are not created by him.

Always a Bulldog
And yet despite all that the tigers managed to perform on the field better than us every year for the last 5 years.

Tablespoon Mayo, teaspoon tomato, mustard and sriracha all mixed is the best on a Burger.
Heinz Big red ketchup and Siracha, I make a mix and keep it in a bottle.

Also kewpee and green Siracha is off the chain.

Awesome stuff, Kewpie and sriracha is great. One of my favourites is Mayo, bbq sauce and mustard. It's amazing with chicken, chips and anything else.

Bbq and Siracha on my hot Kebah is next level.

Have you tried the green Siracha? It's my favourite.

Who cares if we pay a coach a few hundred thousand more than he is worth ?????

If we sign the right coach and he wins us games the flow on effect in sponsorship and memberships will outweigh the extra money spent by a massive margin.

Anyone watch it?

My word he didn’t hold back on the media and tore them a new one regarding and how they are bias driven and applying for mates to get a job by destroying other coaches he also spoke highly of Michael Maguire and literally spoke him up as to saying he has a heart of a lion and if he was to be sacked there’s at least half a dozen of players ready to follow him out the door.

I said it in another thread that I had this terrible feeling he was leaning towards Michael Maguire being our coach and hearing Gus speak tonight about madge is giving me bloody nightmares.
Typical Gus

Throw out a red herring called Maguire to throw the media off the scent of who he is really after.

I'm worried we'll sign Fittler for 3 years on like 800K a season then have to pay him out after a year or less when we could have got Flanagan and for cheaper. Fittler is using the fact he's already got 2 decent paying jobs to push for even more $$$. Flanagan would be on way less currently but his price will double if another club pursues him. If we have hundreds of thousands to waste why haven't we got a fulltime specialist halves coach for Burton and Flanagan for this year so they're way better next year.
