I mean, they were there on Sunday the 20th, so went after the game. At the time the lockdown wasn’t in effect (it started Wednesday for the public, Tuesday for the players). They didn’t do anything wrong other than get unlucky with contract tracking.
As Howie said they weren’t allowed to go out in Waverley council area from the 17th and went out on the 20th. It was a rule issued by the NRL.

Ok, I stand corrected. The point is this could have happened to anyone. For example, the NBA is in the conference finals and a full vaccinated player ended up covid positive. Their whole team is vaccinated and they follow strict protocols that make ours look like a joke.

The timing works in our favour too. Have the players isolate and get tested, return 2-3 negative tests over a few days and move on. Other than origin players who are already up in camp and away from the rest of the NRL there shouldn’t be any real impact.

Yeah I doubt there will be any great impact from it but it just reeks of being unprofessional and will put the club under the spotlight again.

The whole thing is a farce. Get over covid already. V'landys don't give in to these lockdown maniac premiers for goodness sake.
Even people that have had the full vaccine can't travel. The whole thing is a circus that we are tired of. Build a bridge and get over it already. Wake up Australia....your country is dying of fear mongering.
Herd immunity is the only way to get over this. Lockdowns do not work and businesses will not be able to keep opening and closing forever. Oh yeh, also drop a bomb on Chinese communist party

A trio of Canterbury players have been ordered to immediately undergo a COVID test and self-isolate after NSW Health identified they'd attended an exposure site.

The NRL revealed on Thursday that Dylan Napa, Brandon Wakeham and Aaron Schoupp had attended the Royal Hotel in Bondi on June 20, which was also visited by a person who has tested positive to the virus.

Until the test results of the three players are known, the remainder of the Bulldogs squad
cannot train.
The decision doesn't affect any State of Origin player ahead of Sunday's game two in Brisbane, while none of the players have been in contact with representatives from any other club.

Due to Sydney's COVID outbreak, all clubs in the greater Sydney, Wollongong and Central Coast areas have been placed on Level 3 biosecurity protocols since Tuesday evening and cannot leave home except to train or access essential services.

The NRL has also issued a directive to all Sydney-based clubs, mandating that players and staff were not to attend restaurants, clubs or bars in the Waverley Local Government area on June 17.

Idiots on and off the field.

Good to see that the club can still demonstrate that we are a bunch of mindless morons.

They did actually mate as they were instructed not to go to bars in the Waverley area 3 days before that.

Neither of them seem real sharp though so they probably had no idea what the Waverley area consisted of.

Covid tests will be back by noon I would reckon so no big deal in regards to training , etc. They will cop a fine though
And demonstrate once again that Bulldog players can't follow rules.

Who cares. There’s a million posts about us signing players like TPJ, Blake Ferguson, Corey Norman, Willis Meehan, AFB, De Belin, Hayne etc and people are outraged about our players going to a pub haha
