Oddly enough I almost agree with Realist on this one.

Anyone with half a brain would realise that Trump was suggesting that they go to the country their families came from to see the effects Socialism and Communism has on a country. But the media used it as an opportunity to attack Trump and deliberately misinterpret his words.

That said, Trump definitely is racist, a bigot, and economists are just now realising that his policies are making their crap economy even worse.
Lol 4 more years!!! KAG

Lol omg you talking about iihan Omer and co?
The point of the post of you will just calm down and not jump to the racism msm rhetoric. Trump was simply saying these people think America is so evil, why don’t they go to their motherland and see how bad it is there and try and fix things there if they think America is so bad. There’s nothing wrong with that post. It’s just like feminists protesting because they feel oppressed in the west when they have complete freedoms. If they actually cared about women’s rights they should be protesting towards Saudi Arabia to stop actually oppressing women.

As for China, they can get fkd. It’s clear the communist ideologies has reached the west. How can you like china lol. An actual communist country oppressing and killing those who oppose them in their country.
Rubbish .... they are US born citizens who were only exercising their democratic rights and bringing up their motherlands was the act of a racist who would rather resort to personal attacks than debate anyone who he knows would outwit him.

You have a short memory. When Trump was campaigning he was constantly criticising the nation and saying what he thought was wrong with it.... ever hear the slogan drain the swamp? He constantly ran his country down and even insulted war heroes. Why does he have more right to speak about what he thinks is wrong with the country than AOC or anyone else?

He was trying to stifle democratic debate by trying to demean his opponents and insinuating they don’t have as much right to their opinions as he does because of their racial/ cultural backgrounds. Straight up dick move.

Oh come on, he literally said they originally came from these places when they didn’t. Anyone with half a brain should have chosen their words more carefully, tbh. The media had every right to jump on him because he tried to discredit their ideas by referring to their ancestry which is blatantly racist. Not to mention frightfully ignorant in the sense his tweet seemed to blame socialism for all the inherent problems in these countries when there are a number of underlying social and geopolitical
problems contributing to them. I can guarantee if one of his opponents told him he should jump in a time machine and go back to Germany in the late 1930s to learn how to be a real nazi, Fox News and other right leaning media would take issue with it.

You just don’t tell people who were born in the same country as you to “go back to where they came from” and not expect to be accused of racism. Jo matter what you think
If their ideology or the politics of the countries their parents or descendants came from.

Of course it was racist, I just don't think it was intentionally racist. He was obviously targeting Socialism. When we say, "America is a mess", we're not being racist against Americans.

His flaw was that he didn't speak clearly enough. But that's what he does. He expresses opinions with no reference point so it's confusing as fuck.

After he realised the error he could have apologised but being Trump, he'll never apologise. Instead he said that his only intention was to say that if they hate America so much then they should leave. Stupid statement considering that he ran his campaign on the back of saying that America is broken.

AOC's response to all this wasn't the best either, saying that Trump wants to kick out all non-whites and make America 100% white.

Dude his reference points are the many comments hes made in the past. An out of the ordinary comment, for sure your analysis of the situation holds weight. But when hes made numerous racist comments which imply a certain headspace/belief then theres no more denying it.

In any case as utility said they were born in America, elected by their constituents (based on their political and ideological leanings) to represent Americans. But he completely ignored all of that and targeted their racial background which are completely irrelevant to their work in congress

Please. Hes been pushing an anti immigrant, anti non white narrative his whole election campaign and presidency. Again not an odd out of the ordinary occurence, regular statements of belief

You’re comparing trump not liking the socialist path America was taking compared to these 4 specific congresswomen wanting to fundamentally change America from the ground up. Rid the constitution etc. There is a massive difference with being a patriot and wanting to make your country great and not let it go down the shitter, to non clear as day patriots who are sell outs the globalist agenda.

I mean, how racist is trump though? He hasn’t brought in laws that oppress blacks or other people not American. I mean illegal immigrants aren’t counted hence illegal before the word immigrant. He’s just enforcing the law which is about time they started doing that. I’ll give a bit of context. My mum came back recently from Lebanon, and she was complaining that the Syrians (illegal immigrants) have just turned up and opend shop making Lebanese people close business. The crime they comitt is sky high. And I told my mum, so you’re against illegal immigrants yeah? They take business from rightful citizens and comitt crimes? Well that’s what trump is trying fix in America. But yeah she’s like some towns are fully taken over by Syrians there illegally and the government does nothing sort of like America pre trump. Actually that’s a lie Obama was the one separating kids from their parents lol.

Where is your evidence they are trying to change America from the ground up? Where is your evidence they want to “rid” the constitution? I suppose they may seek to amend it, but they would not be the first to do that and are attempting to do things democratically. Even if they were seeking to change the country from the ground up
There was no reason to bring their race or cultural backgrounds into the discussion.

And Trump, a patriot? There are a number of legal experts out there who would tell you they believe he has violated the constitution numerous times.... in fact, he was found to have acted unconstitutionally in court just last month. As I’ve previously stated he has ridiculed war heroes. He dodged the draft to avoid service himself and feels he is justified in belittling those who did serve. He’s about as patriotic as my arsehole after bingeing on Mexican food. He’s out there for numero uno amigo... hola if you hear me.

Yeah. I agree with that. He's definitely racist. I just don't think that this certain comment was deliberately racist.

Not anti-non-white. He's always been racist and always been anti-immigration but never anti-non-white. And considering how stupid he is and how bad he is about being careful what he says, if he was a full on anti-coloured white Nationalist then he would have openly supported the KKK by now.

Trump is one of the most difficult kinds of racists. He's a racist that doesn't realise he's racist.

He's not deliberately racist and he's not a white power nasho. He's a stereotyper. He automatically expects foreigners to all be the same. He also jumps to people being a foreigner because they're not white. This was seen in his comments about the congresswomen, and when he was 100% convinced that Obama wasn't born in America. He automatically goes to the foreigner card.

That said, he has openly supported non-white Americans quite often. He has openly supported black communities in America and the only reason he went after Obama was because he had a foreign name.

He sees America as the land of the people who built the country. The blacks and the whites. Anyone else is a foreigner.

And that makes him a reckless and irresponsible leader who is fanning the flames.

When you hold so much power l, choice of words is very important.

I actually to think he was trying to demean them based on ethnic background and was doing so knowingly. I think
There was intent there.... but there’s no point arguing over something that is open to
interpretation.

Agreed. Trump is a salesman. He rants about people destroying the country and such 'cause he knows it works. It polarises the community and it gives him backing. That's why he sold Clinton as a criminal and he's selling his current opponents as foreigners that are destroying the country.

It's all just a sales pitch.
