Wally was spot on with the first thing i saw him say on TV about Lachlan. He said "he will go well, he has a great
temperament for the game."

Another amazing thing about Lewis is he wasnt carving up the lower grades, and that was the reason he wasnt in the top 30 until recently. But he has gone up a level or 2. Hes playing better in FG. Its more common that some players carve up the lower grades, and then are average at FG level. Lewis has gone the other way.
A lot of players can look average in reserve grade because you have average players around you and when the team doesn't go good, you all get tainted as shit with the same paint brush.
Look at Martin. I remember people on here bagging how he is lazy and disinterested which could have been the case but some players get a spring in their step if you give them a shot at the highest level.
Proof is Martin from being lazy to be one of our biggest workhorses in defence and attack...

Kids got it. Shown more potential in 5 games than what mythbye ever showed for us

Lewis is a genuine half. Mbye never will be. I doubt you will see Mbye in the halves in other sides unless in emergency

Being able to kick adlib was great too. Defense rushed him, he stepped and still put in a great cross field kick

Not to mention a 96% goal kicker too!

He really strikes them sweetly. Have been so confident of a try becoming 6 points since Haz. He just belts them from any angle in a straight line, and too hard for the wind to affect the kick much. Like a goal kicking machine

To think we were giving Mythbye the goal kicking duties whilst we had Martin in the side and how many games did we lose by 6pts or less.....:rage:

He was very impressive tonight and just controlled all aspects nicely. It's refreshing to have a competent, skilled and composed halfback for once who's also tough and defends well.

He reminds me of Polla-Mounter but with a bigger frame. Tonight he also showed some Shifty like flashes as well.

Hopefully he keeps building to finish the season as we might have finally found our long term answer through our Reserve Grade team! It goes to show what happens when guys get chances and that's been the one positive out of this season.

The Broncs must be kicking themselves, because as a teenager they offered Lachland a contract on a few occasions but he knocked them back as he wanted to make a name for himself outside of Brisbane. That's how he ended up at the Raiders before coming to us. Sticky Ricky must be fuming that he lost him :grinning: It's about time we had some luck go our way. Just got to lock Lewis up long term before the bulls are at our gates.

Oh right.... weird that the commentators made a thing about it being a left foot kick then
Fatty is a dumb ****....he wouldn't know which stadium he was at let alone his left from his right.
