Hard as fuck to fix this shit show. I wish Gould and Co. all the best. Let’s hope we can get junior development back to full swing because we need about 10 Preston’s in different positions. Unfortunately, most of our signings have turned to crud.

Gus has made a dozen maybe more Preston signings but only 1 has lucked out. That's his theory , the same as the roosters is recruit as many as you can and hope a few become diamonds. Panthers are different with the area but they still went out and got Burton ,Yeo and kicks. It's luck and hard work..maybe next year a few misses from this yr kick on.

Just sit back and relax. The 5 year plan we had originally has been extended to 10 years. Patience grasshoppers.
Yeah funny that we’re underperforming and Gus come out with that bullshit “we are still years away” just to save face. Wasn’t 2024 the year we were meant to be competitive?

Gus has been on the rebuild really for this season only. A few players haven't hit the mark and senior guys have been injured a while. The neglect for recruitment, retention and development has been a fail for a decade. Can't fix that in 1 ,2 or 3 yrs but changes are happening in the junior recruitment and development now we have to see what happens in the next 12 to 18 months on the restructuring of the top grade. We don't know what happens at training with how the guys are training , so many names and opinions on selections but some may be bad trainers or bad attitudes where the good trainers are getting the call up but aren't delivering yet but with the long term plan set they maybe part of the future and this pain is part of development. Gus n CC are smart enough to know their reputation and credibility are in the line here so Im happy to see what comes from this adversity next year.
Don't diagree about pissing off bad trainers, but training is only part of the battle. If CC is truthful in that training last week was "elite", then that meant shit on game day.

Here's hoping we get some game day performers with footy brains, not just panicky dick-finger athletes, and cut the game day bludgers/numpties. At least Tevita's helped us there.

Lets have a look at some players that we started this season with, with an idea towards them playing NRL:
- Kikau (Injured most of the season)
- TPJ (Consistently inconsistent)
- Thompson (Injured all season)
- RFM (Injured/Out most of the season)
- Davey (Barely played and was released)
- Pele (Barely played and was released)
- Sutton (Injured, Underwhelming when played)
- Brown (Barely played and was released)

So this isn't all of the pack but players we all thought would be in the top 17 most weeks. What value have they added to our 2023 season? Very fucking little. Kikau and Knight go into 2024 basically like new signings. Hughes and Patolo are works in progress, lets hope a least 1 makes the step up. But with TPJ, Pele and Thompson all going we need to find at least 2 more.

This is why I have to cut Cirro some slack. The pack that has taken the field most of the season has lacked quality, leadership, ability, week in week out continuity. Jacko, even though towards the end of his career, was really needed.

The solution is in place.

Our issues related to stability.
Boards elected by members employ a coach etc.
They need instant results so make band aid fixes which only hurt us in the long run.
Results don't come, new board, coach etc rinse and repeat.

As Steve Hansen said when reviewing our club stability was our issue.
To resolove this the board employed Gould as GM and gave him a 10 years contact (There is our stability)
Its Gould who will employ and sack coaches and he wont be sacking CC anytime soon.

We all want instant coffee but its going to take time.to fix this mess previous admin have left this great club in.

My plan: a three strikes policy on creation of dopey threads and polls and moronic posts on TK. Those ‘players’ would then be ‘released’ to free up valuable ‘cap space’ to allow better ‘playmakers’ to ‘create’…

Seems from this article Gus is out of ideas / answers.

With everything that unfolded today this is the only plan I can think of. Remember how desperate we are before you criticise.

For 2024 Jordan McLean and Nathan Brown for 1 year only. We need a prop and lock the most (besides a star 7) and yes we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel. McLean is a big body at 118kgs. Brown can hit hard. We need to toughen up our D.

This November for 2025 we need to make Moeaki Fotuaika and Keaon Koloamatangi (to play middle) our top priorities. It's absolutely imperative we get at least 1 of the 2. If we miss out on one then consider Braden Hamlin-Uele and Lindsay Smith. If we can't get something of this quality we're f..ked yet again in 2025 IMO.

I'd also consider Jamal Fogarty for a 7. Also the English halfback is available for 2025 from memory. How's he going lately ?

For 2024 finally hire a f..king full-time specialist halves AND a dedicated kicking coach.

Teach Burton a passing game, better placement with his kicks and tell him if he's gonna kick it don't be a pussy and f..king boot it as high as you can each and every time OR you'll be f..ked off to centre quicker than you can say "suck shit". I'd actually seriously consider playing him centre anyway from the start of the year because it's going to take a while for Xerri to learn the game again in NSW Cup especially in defence.

Always play JAC left wing only. Bring Skelton in on the right. We need a big body to start off sets well from our own end. He's a tackle busting machine.

Play Crichton at fullback and in pre-season and trials try both Taaffe and Sexton at 7 (maybe BBO also). Taaffe was a NSW under 19's rep 7 a few years ago remember. Oloapu at 6 with more freedom given by Ciraldo to play his natural game

Move on RFM, Sutton and Perham who should never see first grade nor block the pathway of Joash Papalii in our NSW Cup team. Medically retire SST the second he's injured in any way shape or form.

Hire an experienced tough assistant coach (to replace Potter) who can actually motivate our players and teach some set moves in attack.

Gus tells Ciraldo to ease up on the Panthers defence system until we get a team full of smarter and more talented players. Go back to sliding D. We're not the Panthers.

Scout a couple of "fit" big body props currently playing lower grades for our competitors. Players looking for a break.

Interested to read your plan
I agree about Burtons kick's every bloody time a bomb !,how about feild position and a chase!

Buy the Broncos and transfer all our players to Suncorp and bring their top 30 to Belmore to put our gear on. Then have Wayne Bennett set up in a compromising position with a midget a donkey and Rabbi and Blackmail him to sign with us for life.

Round 1 backline next season should be:
1. Burton (he is not an NRL level half. At FB he can roam and is fast enough for cover D)
2. Kiraz
3. Xerri
4. Critta
5. Foxx
6. Karl O
7. BBO (SexBOMB is horrific and not up to it)

Not once has Gus said that ha has always said it is a long term rebuild, only cluesless idiots here have said anything of the like.

You cannot magically turn a club that has been shit for the better part of a decade into a finals team in a few years. You have exisiting players under contract, a salary cap, majority of reserve and lower grades players will never be 1st standard & potential recuits are under contracts. Just cause you wish we could have a player does not make it so. Then you have the fact that we are struggling, do established players
want to come here to get flogged.

Tough job.. Literally pressed the reset button. Consider us loading FFS!

We just need pros willing to put it though.. We got two coming and two that may add heaps to the culture or deflate after the honeymoon and a few losses.

Gould also needs to start making deals, even if it costs us... they know we are desperate, they aren't gonna help. Gould is waiting for the desperate sales, for those willing to come put in the hard yards.

Its probably as simple as 3 contracts. 3 NRL props. Without them we are getting dominated again in 2024.

At this point i would be happy with either Mo or D.Safiti, added by guys like Joliffe and Seyfarth and we work from there.

Middles that dont continually get dominated with n without the ball would make a lot of difference - Saifiti, jollife, maclean, may be possible - Mo F and XWillison would be ideal but unlikely.

There's not much independent thought going on here. It seems so many fans are happy to go along with Goulds narrative about eating more shit for long term success down the track and too much talk of pathways being the only answer. That's all more deflection talk, passing the buck so us supporter's will feel keep on fighting the good fight

Warriors have been woeful for some time and now looking like one of the better teams. They have done a wonderful job turning it around in a very short space of time.

We've allegedly got this elite coach who can do no wrong and some pretty handy players on the books and can't do anything right.
