I'm not a Dufty fan
I agree with your Dufty opinion, not excited about him signing, I hope he proves me wrong.

Thompson and Jackson to small to both be starting in the middle 1 has to be on the bench to avoid getting stem rolled. Thompson can still play big minutes off the bench. The above is a huge starting pack that will dominant.

Most seem to have got it right pending any new arrival.
Only thing to change is to not play Thompson and TPJ as props.
Thompson is a running forward and not big enough to play as a prop.
TPJ is more damaging when running onto the ball.

2 top 30 spots to be filled, ideally some experience in the spine and an edge forward.

1. Dufty - defensively has issues but given the amount of points we scored this year, we need all attacking weapons on the field.
2. JAC - no brainer
3. Naden - play him on the right side next to Cotric. Could really be between him and Allan whilst Alamoti develops who traditionally is a right side player. Schoupp and Alamoti centre pairi ng in 2023.
4. Schoupp - solid player who developed well this year. Will benefit from being next to JAC who has been partnered with Olam the last few years, arguably the best defensive centre in the comp.
5. Cotric - a bit annoyed we've played
6. Burton - no brainer
7. Averillo - Flanagan just stalls on plays and his last play options are horrific. Wakeham hasn't impressed me that much either. Avo is very skillful and I know 7 wouldn't be his ideal position, we need to pick our best players in the 17 and find positions for them.
8. Thompson - no brainer
9. Cook - I want to see him or JMK start. JMK is still solid but I think Cook has got a bit of x factor.
10. Vaughan - start him and with the nature of our pack and bench, won't be expected to play huge mins.
11. TPJ - left hand edge of Burton, TPJ, Schoupp, JAC. Enough said!
12. Hetherington - really good in the last game, I think has to be there going forward.
13. Jackson - has been very solid this year and his passing game in the middle of the field gives us somewhat of a point of difference.

14. BBO - provides cover all over the pitch.
15. Seumanufagai - has played well and gives us some additional leadership. That being said, I think when we have our best team on the field, we have some solid leaders so if we need some x factor, I'd like to see either Makatoa or Tuifua.
16. RFM - can come on and move Hetherington or TPJ in the middle or play there himself. Gives us a lot of options.
17. Topine - I think if Jacko plays 60, Topine can play 20ish as a versatile middle with a lot of leg speed/quick play the balls. Would like to see if get that little bit bigger.

Bang on. BBO and Averillo interchangeable between starting and bench utility, also JMK and BBO interchangeable between starting and bench utility but i think baz will go with BBO in 14
