Sheesh. I'm going to have to rewatch the entire show in 2026 to remember what happened.
What I don't understand is why does it take them 2-3 years to create a 10 episode season yet other shows can produce 22 of them every 12 months.

As somebody that refuses to watch a multi series show these days until they take it to a conclusion, I hope for the fans of the show, that they're delaying it do they can tie off loose ends and take the show to a string end that won't leave fans pissed off.

Probably 75% of the series that I've watched over the last decade have just been cut off with a cliffhanger because they tried to drag out a story too long and a certain percentage of fans stop watching. So the ratings drop and they just decide they'll spend the money producing something else. Pisses me off immensely.

I find it to be the most annoying thing when authors take a decade or more to write the final book in a series too.

I think they're paranoid that they're going to get cancelled. So they don't want to spend money on production until they are greenlit for another season.

Considering that this show is made by the people that made Lost, that also makes me concerned that they may screw up the ending like they did with Lost.

I have no idea where lost wound up going as I stopped watching. I loved the first few seasons, but it hit a point where I became annoyed that it left EVERY mystery hanging.

The people who produce these shows give zero shits about fans. Fans are only visible as dollar signs to them. What I saw with lost was that they just kept trying to deepen the mysteries because the fan base was growing. I didn't stick around to see a single mystery resolved. It was the equivalent of having a tv show leaving you with blue balls.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of How I Met Your Mother taking 9 seasons to wrap up and for us to see the mother. What sucked most about that show though wasn't that it took so long for the ending to come, but how it actually ended with the mother (who all the fans loved) being killed off.

Correct. It's another show I watched for a bit but lost interest in. I couldn't tell you(or care) who the mother was. I thought it was going to be Robin based on the look of the daughter. But the story wasn't going anywhere and I asked myself why I was watching. Had funny moments, but they were typically a cliche of previous episodes.

Black Snow - 2 series currently on Stan. It's about an Aussie detective who tries to sold cold cases and has a very unorthodox approach to doing his job. He gets the job done in both series, however, the last episode of season 2 has a twist to it. He solves the case early on in the final episode, then he tries to mend some wounds of his past, and they just happen to backfire.

Worth a watch.

Finally started watching the Night Agent on Netflix. Binged the first season and really enjoyed it. It's like 100 different other spy/espionage TV shows and movies, but it's very well done.

I'm 5 episodes into the second season and I don't like it as much. Not sure what it is. I think they tried to make it a bit more uncomfortable and it doesn't really work that well.

Yep I agree, Season 2 is nowhere near as good as Season 1. It's OK, not terrible, but had me screaming at the TV more than once in frustration. Maybe I've watched too many John Wick's but knocking the bad guy down and then running off knowing that are just going to get up and chase you is dumb arsed. For a bonus you leave their gun behind................aaaaaaarg.

There's a bit of that in season 1 as well. Like where he has two guns but he runs up and tackles the bad guy.

I have good news and bad news FROM fans. The good news first: We’ll be getting another season of MGM’s popular-yet-super-underrated series, which is something we’ll all be dying for by the end of Season 3 this coming Sunday.

FROM, which I’ve called the spiritual successor to Lost, is a show about a group of people trapped in a mysterious and unnamed town (I call Fromville) terrorized by hideous monsters and confounded by impossible mysteries. It’s one of my favorite current TV shows, and while I’m not surprised by the renewal—it’s the most-watched show on MGM+—I’m certainly relieved. You never know when a studio will inexplicably cancel a series these days.

The bad news is a little disappointing. Production on the new 10-episode season begins in 2025 and the first episode won’t drop until 2026. That means the wait will be over a year, though whether it’s a year and a couple months, or a full two years away remains to be seen.
I haven't watched this

Finished Season 2 of The Night Agent. Still a great show. But the ending of season 2 seems naive considering what's going on in the US right now.
