What is your favourite (CURRENT) TV Show

The Layover, Anthony Bourdain has landed on SBS, like all his shows it's good..stops over in various cities for generally just 24 to a max of 48 hours and just samples the culinary and entertainment delights, cramming as much as he can into his time there.

Staggering it's been more than 6 years now since he took his own life.
It may sound weird but I fuckin miss the guy and i think a fair way into the future I will still watch/re-watch his various shows from time to time and salute imo a legend of a bloke.

Have you finished watching this yet? I thought it was quite OK, mostly all new unknown actors and not badly constructed.
Storyline left inconclusive so its set up to carry on if they decide to renew it.

I've mentioned SBS a few times i know, i have just started watching a 2 season British show called DI Ray.
Had already seen season 1(4 episodes)and just started S2 its pretty good am 2 episodes in so far, new eps drop weekly so only 5 are available so far.
The female lead Parminder Nagra does a great job as the chief detective.
I haven't finished watching it yet mate (only 2 episodes in) but I'm keen to have it all watched soon as it's very well constructed and, while fictional, gives you a good insight into what Police work is really like. I've always known that being a cop is a thankless job, and this more or less just confirmed that for me.

Every year I do full rewatch of all his shows - A Cook's Tour, No Reservations, The Layover and Parts Unknown. Always inspiring to watch. Also super interesting to watch back and see him visit places like the Ukraine/Russia border and the West Bank etc. I thought they always did those shows really respectfully and professionally.

@ASSASSIN dont know if you've seen the latest episode of Evil. They originally said that after this season, they would have short 4 episode season 5. Turns out the 4 episodes were pushed forward into this season, and that anti-climactic episode was actually the final episode of the show.

I'll be watching it after I drop the kids off at school bro

But between us, it was fitting that the "baby" ended up in the Vatican ;)

Yeh he did it best all of the shows he did were just real, devoid of any bullshit. As you said respectful and complying when appropriate but warts and all wherever possible.

I'm not much of a reader have you read any of his books? Their reportedly pretty good and what put his name up in lights initially.

Something I must do, at least read a couple.

Spin off from Hannah waddinghams character and the guy who plays coach beard apparently, with a cameo from sudakis and the regulars

Hard pass if that's the case
Yikes. Thought we'd get them going to America or something, preseason tour or even just a holiday and they meet up with Ted who's coaching his son now and we then follow two seperate stories. Unfortunately it' sounds very end of scrubs like :sob:

Well it was created by Bill Lawrence.

So say no more

Upto the last episode of Mayor of Kingstown and it’s the goods, after it the new season of Seal Team then Cobra Kai.

Currently rewatching Boardwalk Empire. Such a quality show. Going to move onto another rewatch of Deadwood after this. San Francisco cocksuckers.

Binge watched Kaos on Netflix. Highly recommend.

The basics of it is that it's Ancient Greece, but set in modern days. The Greek Gods are real and everyone worships them. But Zeus is worried that his prophecy may be coming real, which basically fortells the collapse of Olympus and the start of Kaos.

Goldblum plays the part of Zues really well. You can tell he got the role after his MCU role. He plays his usual nuerotic self, but ends up getting really dark. The show finishes on a semi-well rounded end note. It leaves it open for a second season, but also gives you enough that you could easily predict what would happen in the second season. My only real critique was that they tell several stories at the same time, and they're not all as interesting as the others. At times you think, "Just get on with it so we can get back to the good stuff"

It also has some pretty mixed reviews, but some of that could be because they used non-Greeks to play Greek Gods. I would personally rate it 8/10.. maybe 9/10

If any guys have Disney, there is a superb documentary about the development of Industrial Light and Magic. Yeah the guys who did the special effects for such movies as, Star Wars series, Indiana Jones movies ( please forget the Crystal Skull swinging monkeys) Close Encounters, Terminators, and over 300 more.

Fascinating look at the impact of ILM on how movies are made.

Recently finished James May: Our Man In Japan on Prime. He does 6 episodes as he covers the country from North to South.

Was quite entertaining, and done in a very James May way.
