Binge watching Interview with the Vampire on ABC iView. Held off watching it 'cause I'm a huge fan of the books and the movie, and I knew the TV show was very different to the books. But started watching it recently and have loved it so far. It captures the characters of the books much better than Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt did.

It's a weird semi-reboot. It's basically a sequel to the movie, but it's Louis telling the story again to a now much older reporter (originally played by Christian Slater, now played by Eric Bogosian) and the story has changed (which they kind of explain in the show)

There's two seasons out which covers Interview with the Vampire. There's a 3rd season coming out that covers the 2nd book in the series (The Vampire Lestat)

Don't worry. Disney hasn't forgotten about draining the last drops of money from Marvel

They need to just kill off star wars. It's been milked to death and apart from The Mandalorian (which has progressively gone downhill ) everything coming out has been very poor or complete crap. Same with The MCU, oversaturated with too much blah shows and movies and characters no one cares about. That's just my opinion. One thing I am sick of is multiverses.

Speaking of Disney being evil money grubbers...

A husband and wife went to a restaurant at Disney world. The wife was allergic to nuts so she asked several times to ensure there were no nuts in her food. Turns out there was and she died. The husband filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

Disney is now trying to dismiss the lawsuit because the husband signed up to Disney Plus a few years earlier, and the terms and conditions state that any legal issue should be negotiated with Disney out of court.

Disney is literally arguing that the guy shouldn't be able to sue for the death of his wife at Disney World, because he used their unrelated streaming service.

What a joke that’s embarrassing and so disrespectful towards this family.
Who cares where it occurred is Disney World sacred or something, the entire story is hard to believe.

Just started watching Sugar on Apple TV plus after several people recommended it to me. Only one episode in but I already really like it.

It about a private detective (played by Colin Farrell) who is a huge film noir buff and basically bases himself on the film noir movies. As such, the whole show is like a modern day film noir. The main character constantly narrates everything that is going on in a classic film noir style, and it just works so well. It's based around him investigating a missing person who also happens to be the daughter of a famous film noir director.

As I said, only 1 episode in but I already recommend it

I've being a boring bastard at the moment, and been watching shows like 4 Corners on ABC iview. In an era of cliuck bait and sensationaism, at least there's stil a show like it. It did a 2 parter about Trump a month or so ago, and i found it to be very "balanced" in that the reporter interviewed people for and against him, and didn't try to force his view, rather let the interviews do the talking. Interesting perspectives on the border wall issue I thought (they talk to the guy who owns the ranch where the wall ends, as well as both an armed group watching the border for "illegals" and another group providing assisting to those who have crossed it).

Other recent episodes included water rights in the NT, fuck yups at IVF clinics, and the climate crisis in Canada. I've also been watching a bit of media watch for the first time in years.

Watching this one at the moment. Completely fictional but it's based on the Blacktown Police. Makes me glad as f**k that I'm not a cop in the place.

Yeh I'll be having a look at this soon.

SBS have so much content it's crazy(the catch may be for some can you do subtitles), anyway I binged a 6 eps series called Motel Paradis today. It's a French Canadian production, the lead female character does a bang up job I thought.

Have you finished watching this yet? I thought it was quite OK, mostly all new unknown actors and not badly constructed.
Storyline left inconclusive so its set up to carry on if they decide to renew it.

I've mentioned SBS a few times i know, i have just started watching a 2 season British show called DI Ray.
Had already seen season 1(4 episodes)and just started S2 its pretty good am 2 episodes in so far, new eps drop weekly so only 5 are available so far.
The female lead Parminder Nagra does a great job as the chief detective.
