WHY HAS THIS HAPPENED? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN???
I hate to say this, but the concept of a "Real Man" is dying a not-so-slow death. Think back to the way your fathers, grandfathers, and their ancestors behaved.
Was it anything like the behaviour displayed by the 21st century young male (in his 20's and older) ?
You have males who are in to being dominated (sexually) by a woman or they want to watch their wives being f'cked by a dude with a massive D.
You have males who want to be cuckolded (if you don't know what that means, google it).
How many TV shows portray guys being useless idiots or just being put down by women: you only have to watch The Simpsons, Everyone Loves Raymond, The King Of Queens, The Big Bang Theory... the list goes on.
In the thread mentioned above, you have males who are cool with trying on women's lingerie? Or you have guys doing the full-on hipster or metrosexual thing, spending more time in front of a mirror than the average girl does, going through enough skin care products to start their own Priceline store, and thinking they look right with skinny jeans on. Sorry, but even if you can grow a beard, that won't make you more of a man in my book.
This generation has spawned an overwhelming number of males who are weak, soft, indecisive, and have zero alpha-male instinct whatsoever. Sure, the ladies in this day and age keep wishing for a "nice guy" to come along. But once they get the "nice guy", they often bemoan the fact that he's "boring", because he becomes a total doormat for her, and he lets her wipe her feet all over him. He's too afraid to make decisions in the relationship. He always asks for her approval on EVERYTHING, and mostly waits for her to make a decision on where they're going to go and/or what they're going to do. And why? out of fear of upsetting her or worse, of her leaving him. End result? She more often than not ends up leaving him for the "bad boy", and why? Because the bad boy will take charge and really assert himself as the "man", and make her feel like a woman. Sad, but true.
How many guys get "friend-zoned" by the ladies nowadays? If they needed a reason why, they'd only need to read the above.
What happened to the traditional way of things, when men were the proverbial hunters, confident and decisive in everything they did? What happened to the men who weren't afraid to approach and chat to a woman they liked? Why do so many men find so many women intimidating in this day and age? Why?
Now before you blokes get all fired up and call bullsh!t on my post, just remember, I'm not talking about ALL males. This might not even apply to you, but you can't deny the fact that today's so-called "men" have nothing on the "real men" who were best represented by the generations that came before us.
Turning? I'd say they've just about finished turning men who've parted with their balls and have become effeminate/emasculated.
