Can someone explain why more then 300,000 more people voted for liberal over labor yet have 20 less seats ?

Says a lot about our political system.
Greens took a huge chunk of the vote in many electorates and their preferences filtered to Labor. Not to mention the Libs lost a lot of seats to Teale candidates (and at least one to the Greens, possibly more). Labor also won more key swing states. Those are just a few of the factors at play.

Australian elections have never been about the primary vote. There's a preference system in place...and one party could win 90 percent of the vote in one electorate and the other party could win 51 per cent in another..... it still only amounts to one seat each.

The Libs lost because they are out of touch, and they lost to an opposition that did not run a particularly strong campaign. No point blaming the system.

Lies, Dominion voting systems are controlled by Chavez and counted votes for Albanese instead of Morrisson. It's pretty obvious that the fascist left are supporting Albanese who is the grandson of Mussolini.

Not to mention all the New Zealanders who voted illegally because they didn't have to show drivers licences at polling centres. It's a bloody outrage!

We might end up with Joe Biden as PM when him and Albo forget which country they are in charge of

The vast majority of voters want someone from the right. The lefty attitude of Morrison contributed to their downfall.
The last thing we need is another woke socialist party taking the reins.
Sure....that's why the Libs lost all those seats to One Nation and the UAP and not to candidates who were farther to the left of them.....oh wait.

Pull your head out of the sand, mate. Voters sent a clear message to the Coalition - Australia says no to far right whackjobs.

In fact there's a fair few with far right parties in control, e.g.

Hungary
Austria
Italy
Brazil
Russia
Turkey
Saudi Arabia - pretty much all Arab nations
Israel
France - Macron is quite extreme from an economic perspective and recent elections were down to Macron and Le Pen who is a far right populist
England - not far right but still quite extreme from an economic perspective
Spain - although not in power, the far right party has (I think) a 20% representation in their parliament

Even Biden is not left wing, he's at best a centrist, beholden to his corporate donors.
