Watching Murika is like watching a head on collision in super slow motion.
Trump will argue that it is political persecution with a view to influencing the 2024 election which is pretty much what he was accused of with his telephone conversation with Zelensky which led to his first impeachment and the government will argue that Trump incited a Fort Sumter level violent uprising and no one is above the law, not even an ex-president
the populist Republicans are going to lose their minds in support of Trump with the Democrats and establishment Republicans lining up against him -->
(as a side note, Neocons must use people's correct pronouns because they always get away with everything they do)
and a US administration is finally going after an ex-president... Nixon was pardoned by Ford, I think the Clintons were accused of stealing possessions from the White House to flog but we're told to return them, and as for George W. Bush --> 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina, GFC etc. all happened under his watch and he got to ride off into the sunset unmolested... but with impeachments already weaponised against Clinton and Trump and now this, these will just become political tools by administrations and whichever party controls Congress
billions being sent to a losing cause in Ukraine, Taiwan, an Iran that will benefit from the greater integration of Russia into Eurasia, a dissatisfied ally in Saudi Arabia, de-dollarization, wars in Yemen and Armenia and the Balkans etc. coming, the border crisis, inflation, the energy crisis, Trump's mentor having been Roy Cohn, gun control, abortion, renewables etc... it will be fun to see just how much of America comes apart at the seams
