Yep. And it was shocking.

But Kavanaugh wasn't elected by democracy. He was appointed by Trump. There's a big difference between a single official being appointed by a single person and the actual democratic process.

This is more akin to when Trump won and angry people started trashing stores. Except they weren't trying to stop the democratic process.

It is a democratic process for U.S. presidents to nominate and appoint supreme court judges. By the way, Trump didn't just pick and choose and appoint on his own. The U.S. senates provides advice and consent before a U.S. president can appoint someone.

Also, the background checks which take place are said to be amongst the most exhaustive of any checks that go on, anywhere in the world.

This aside, my only point is that consistency and accuracy and impartiality is ridiculously important and the media in America has failed big time on all three.

This failing has contributed to the overall environment right now in America where people feel as though they are being singled out for unfair treatment.

If the media treated Biden the same way that Trump was treated, there would be very little room for any Trump supporters to get their head space to the point where they felt the need to break into the senate and house chambers.
