As opposed to the demoncrap policy of letting Israel bomb them to rubble continuously. Continue the cycle of war...

You have to step back and look at the fact Israel have all the power in this situation. They hold all the cards, no country of note is going in to support Palestine.
That's not Trump's policy. Trump's policy is to let Israel keep bombing them until there's barely anything left, then he'll force the survivors to leave their homeland so he can turn it into an American vacation spot.

It seems to have worked well and brought these countries to the bargaining table as opposed to what you have mentioned above.
It didn't though. At least, not the way Trump is selling it.

Mexico guarenteed 10,000 troops at the border. They already had 15,000 troops at the border so they literally did nothing.

Canada promised $1.3 billion to increase security at the border, and they promised to install a new border Czar. Last year Canada already put the $1.3 billion in place so the only thing that changed was that Canada has a new border Czar.

Either Trump is too stupid to realise that Sheinbaum and Trudeau tricked him, or he knows he achieved nothing and just wants people to believe he did something. In reality, he just caused economic damage to many countries.

No.

The difference is Trump is honest. Trump doesn't want to see this war go back to square one again. Unlike the demoncraps and other fakes who call for a two state solution but have zero actions to back up their talk.

Don't get me wrong Trump's option is still a disaster but it at least ends the war. The two state solution talk was always total bullshit to anyone who was paying attention. It's just lip service to make them look humanitarian.

Trump has at least come to grips with the reality of the situation. Either Israel is going to keep bombing them or they need to get out. Israel holds all the cards in this situation and they can always play the Holocaust victim card if things go pear shaped.
Trump is honest?

When did he say that he only wanted a temporary ceasfire? He didn't admit is until after he became President

When did Trump say that he wanted to kick all the Palestinians out and use their land for his own real estate? He didn't admit that until today, after he secured the votes of the Arabs when he told them that he would stop the war

That's ignoring the masses of other things, for example: "Tariffs don't cause inflation" and "The other country pays the tariffs"

He only admitted that he lied about that a few days ago.

I agree with u. Its only bought them a months grace also, Canada and Mexico would of been peaking hard at thought of tariffs. Even all the commentary u hear around China and there response. They are been very minor in the retaliation and have so much more to lose than the US. Thats what abc journo was saying anyway.

Won’t happen, can’t happen.
If it were any other President then I would agree. But with Hamas and Hezbollah devestated, Syria going through a semipro-Western transition, and Iran cut off from access to the frontlines, I think Trump realises that if he sends US troops to Gaza right now then he can secure it without contest. The only opposition he'll receive is Jordan and Egypt, and both countries have been favourable to his negotiations.

I think we're only on the cusp of seeing how much damage Trump can do.

Mexico and Canada literally bent the knee. Trudeau tried to ally with Mexico and Mexico didn't want anything to do with it.

Essentially the US has given them 30 days to bring a deal to the table that they think is fair and reasonable. One thing we do know is the inaction of the last government was not the answer.

How did they bend the knee?

Both Mexico and Canada said they would retaliate. Canada even listed all the US goods they would put 25% tariffs on, and they started a campaign encouraging Canadians to avoid buying US goods. That campaign is still running.

And as I said, Canada and Mexico didn't concede anything. Trump bent the knee when he realised that his actions were tanking the stock market.

Its just like the Colombia 'bend the knee' - there Pres said we're happy to respectfully pick up deportees in our planes and FLAFOTUS said nah - you will accept our military planes. And supposedly they did.

Until that fat chick you nut over made a point yesterday where she said, Colombia are even flying their planes here to pick up deportees. So if anything - FLAFOTUS bent the knee. Which is disturbing because I reckon that would need industrial strength nappies to prevent slippage.

Smoke and mirrors.

No downside because the worst that happens is everyone thinks you’re a fckwit. Everyone already thinks he's a fckwit so where is the loss?
Alas, not everyone.

Meh - thats the sheep.

Gotta say though - very very suss about how both sides of Oz politics today had exactly the same statement. No running commentary? Very specific. Did they get together and agree we need a united front? Or were both given the 'lines' in prep for what was going to come?

Amazing though - every time I see that photo I think to myself, if I didn't know any of you, three of you have the most punchable faces of all time. Remarkable to get three at the same table at once - ever. Even more remarkable, the odd one out is RFK.

Feel like I need a shower. Or a cone. Or both.

Agree. As for the first point, Oz Govt will tread a fine line not to piss off Beijing. Last time Morrison did that we got smashed with tariffs, which I’ve heard work really well (tongue firmly in cheek). So Albo will tread the line and if Dutto wins likely we adopt MAGA Jr.

NO SORRY CAN'T DO THIS!

This is going to be a total cluster fuck with Trump if he goes along with Bibi!

Off the Trump train. I am done out here.

American politics is literally the douche and turd sandwich. Either option is a complete mess, Biden & Kamala would have been a continuation of the status quo, more ongoing wars and two state solution ALL TALK, NO ACTION.

Trump is at least interesting because he is changing the paradigm and when I say he is honest, he says things unfiltered, it is the American empire going mask off kissing Bibi's arse harder than ever before.

You, me and others all pointed out that for all her obvious flaws, Harris was a better choice economically for Oz. Course the magatards know better. I will give Albo (or Wong or someone else if it was their idea) credit for the idea of behind the door diplomacy. You're not going to win against China but if you keep the strong language off the media (if there is any), its a few points in your favour for doing politics the chinese way. And what do you get out of soapbox diplomacy? Maybe some votes at home but the losses are not worth the gains. Morrison just never got that.

So short version? You're more interested in Trump because his melon is in Bibi's cheeks harder?

Yep. I’ve spent enough time in China on business to know a) it takes time b) they’re lying to you c) the 50% of any partnership is probably 80% in their favour but how else do you crack a market that large? More importantly: frank discussions are fine but you do it privately - they respect that. They don’t respect knives either in the chest or the back. So gobshites like Agent Orange get nowhere, despite his ‘I have an excellent relationship with Xi’ dribble. I find those who have to validate their ‘talents’ publicly possess them the least.
