We were forced to use 6 interchanges in the first-half. Was always going to be a difficult second half.
2 were used up in getting Patten off and on the field.

i dont think they were turning points when he went for the drop goal.
i think the turning point was the 40/20 and the decision about hayne catching the ball on the full in goal after ennis kicked the ball 50cm off the ground.

btw, habib is right. fatigue from all their offloads killed us in the end

Despite all the crowing over how good Parra were - and they were good last night; a dropped ball or missed tackle could have changed the game.

Think about this scenario:

Hayne is kneed in the head and carried off the field. Grothe is kneed in the head and plays with concussion. Hindmarsh has a partial dislocation of the shoulder and goes off for a long period of time. Who wins the game then? If Parra lose do we label them as chokers?

I think that some perspective is needed when reviewing the game.

being up 18-6 and 13-6 is not too much different though
uh ? its a huge difference, it means we are only a score away (penalty, field goal, try, whatever ) from making it a 3 score game

we almost scored in the 2 previous plays to the failed field goal attempt, parra were at 6's and 7's, they would have given us the points if given the choice at the time

what i didn't like is how we didn't play our normal game, how often did we kick it to the corner and just try bash parra ? to many nothing kicks for mine, we played a grind it out style all season but last night we were trying to make every kick do something special imo

Right on....exactly my thoughts..... how would they have gone had Hayne
been taken out 2 minutes into the game.....

Losing Patten completely frazzled our game plan....... poor Bryson
was struggling , in the 2nd half he made a half break but dropped the
ball and took a while to get up..... he was a passenger out there......

My only beef was kicking in general..... but BK worked his ring off, and
nobody could doubt his courage, even to get on the field took a super
effort...... I guess we lost the comp 5 minutes into the Warriors game....
