1. When defending tigers compress defence when ball is down towards Tuqiri and Lawrence wing. Fitzhenry on the other wing is 25 meters infield.
2. Farah has a sneaky short side play on Tuqiri’s wing. Inside pass to Benji, with Tuqiri coming down sideline.
3. We need to kick high when on tigers try line, towards Fitzhenry’s wing. We need to pressure him with players surrounding him off high kicks.
4. Our Markers need to be on song and ready for tigers dummy half scoots. Tigers religiously scoot at least 1-2 times a set. Tuqiri does this often.
5. We need to angel our forwards away from Tigers marker defence; there marker defence is very strong.
6. Tigers score majority of tries from 30meters or more, our cover defence needs to be executed very well.
7. Tigers attack mostly on their left side, down Tuqiri and Lawrence’s wing
8. We should kick the ball out as much as possible, kicking along ground towards Tuqiri’s wing as he is very lazy to turn around to get to ball, mostly leaves his fullback to return ball.
9. Fifita must be watched from inside ball off both Farah and especially Benji.
10. We need to apply a **** load of pressure to Benji, when he is kicking, he kicks high and deep.
11. Last week the cowboys had good defensive sets when they ran up from their line as a team to meet the tiger’s forwards, we can’t have gaps because Farah’s and Benji’s short and inside balls will kill up all night.
