Why won’t they watch both? Literally makes no sense. I watch both.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. The ratings will grow year by year.
If you can get it to Major League Soccer levels that would be a miracle. They have too many sports to follow

Makes no sense why an Australian would be excited by vegas on tv. Its just a stadium
There are a range of reasons it would get attention, from simple curiosity, to a sense of being seen. The same reason that when there were massive fires in NSW in 2019 channels 7, 9, and 10 all did coverage on the coverage of overseas media. Australians like to be seen internationally. Just look up Youtube videos made by Americans who went to the game and read the comments, they are all Australians.

Don't need to getting it to even half that level to make a lot of money.

The yanks couldn't give a rats ring about nrl, they didn't even know what game was being played and called it "the rugby"

V'landys himself doesn't give a rat's about NRL. He's duped some people into thinking he wants to grow the game lol. As if he's going to give a shit in 5 years time whether the game has grown or not, the slob just wanted to get the Vegas junket up and running as some sort of dick swinging trick to boost his own ego.

Did they just say in the Footy Show that V'landys or Abdo have made the statement that the Vegas junket didn't cost any more to stage than a normal season launch? FMD they really do think people are morons.
By all means cop the pats on the arse for a supposed job well done but don't pretend that Vegas and all the shit that went with it costs the same as a photo shoot under the Harbour Bridge.

So the Yanks paid for all the air fares for the players to get there and back, the accommodation before and during the weekend of the games, food etc. etc. Wow just wow.....

Dam, 7 weeks and he plays Brisbane first game back. 8 weeks is a big penalty, 1/3 of the year.

The world has gone mad. A Samoan cops the biggest ever racial vilification penalty in Australian sport. Every player that says coconut or fob better get the same fkn punishment. How bout Ezra gets his one backdated from the GF. Absolute fkn joke
I hear ya, but we knew it was gonna come to this with the amount of media attention it received and every talking head discussing it. The pressure was on the Nrl. Should have just called him "a bundle of sticks" would have got half the suspension, just ask Marcelo Montoya about that one.

I thought he would get around 4 weeks. 8 is way to big for something said which had no racial intent. I read somewhere that the NRL counsel referred to him as Luai repeatedly and called him Tongan. Thats offensive AF to a Samoan lol Should of given himself 8 weeks

How’s Mundine and Latrell going at it also. That was good entertainment
Mundine is the ultimate authority on racism. He paved the way, he got upset when Latrell had an opinion without asking the ultimate authority first.

Well they have definitely taken a hard line. Spencer has been made an example of no doubt. 1/3 of season imo is a bit steep, you’d have to almost decapitate a player to get 8 weeks. 4 weeks would of still sent a signal
