You know the US didn't "give" Iran $6 billion, right?
They had $6 billion of Iran's money which the US basically stole. Then they offered it back to Iran but only through a 3rd party (Qatar) and the money could only be used for aid purposes.
The money has never been used and now it has been locked up again so Iran have no access to it at all.
its no myth it was part of the neg for prisoner swap over many years... the US did not steal the money ! it was money held in Korea and was offered to Iran. the US placed certain Sanctions on Iran to be able to use the money.

Yes, it was held in Korea but it was Iran's money that the US wasn't allowing them to access. Effectively stealing their money.
And No, it hasn't been used for terrorism. It hasn't been used at all.
