Just one of those things. I've bypassed Adelaide a few times, driving to Perth, and once to Darwin. Got as close as the Gawler Hills, but kept on going.
Seen a bit of SA, just not Adelaide. Will get there in a few years when I take the Ghan from Darwin down to Adelaide. Taking the wife for our 50th wedding anniversary. I've taken her to Rome. Paris, Berlin, Prague, London, Florence, Venice, Stockholm,the Alps, and all points between, a few times; so we thought a domestic holiday would be nice to celebrate. The Ghan costs as much as a holiday in Europe anyway.

All were very lucky. Must have been a mechanical fault, so a bit rough to say that the pilot had trouble, as if it was him responsible for the crash.
He did well to find the trotting club to land, otherwise it would have been into one of the properties.

The aircraft in the brochure looks like a Lancaster bomber modified for civilian use. They were rebuilding a lot of surplus bombers after the war.
