Yes you’re right mate why do the always look grubby and unkempt.
Do they not believe in showering for some reason or running a brush through their hair occasionally.
At least look presentable before a protest knowing a tv crew could be filming Lol
Haha. They can’t be the full quid mate. Watching them run through the city throwing milk crates reminded me of a troop of monkeys haha

The dole bludgers are apparently taking a rest day today. How do you rest in the middle of an emergency?! Even Scomo left his deputy in charge when we went to Hawaii for a rest (although he actually had a job)

I think this bunch specialise in rest days what a complete joke tbh.
Causing traffic congestion and waisting police personal that’s about it.

Like if you guys think you're inconvenienced now, just imagine with mass world migration events what is going to happen?

Imagine the potential for war because climate has changed the locations and possible scarcity of food and water sources .

This shit ain't a joke
That may happen but I don't think anyone will say "That fried **** that lock it's head on a steering wheel was right" if and when it happens lol

But like we talked about before, has to be focused on government and their owners (corporations).

Not really a case of "if and when", it's already happening. Right now the migrations are generally only affected South and Central America with farmers forced to move due to conditions no longer supporting farming, but with increasing climate problems, more people from this countries will keep migrating and by 2070 a large portion of South America won't be good for farming. Which means you have billions of people looking for a new home.

You're 100% right though. It's the governments and corporations who are the ones that create the problem and they are the ones that have to address it. Unfortunately their version of "addressing the problem" is to create disinformation campaigns and convince people that there is no problem. We're now deep into the climate crisis with millions of lives being affected and we still have people believing it's a myth because corporations are good at speaking fake information.

The thing with climate change is that it's easy to dismiss because it's hard for regular people to read. You stick your head outside, it's freezing. Global warming must be a myth. Meanwhile in Europe this has been the hottest June on record with concerns that thousands will die this summer due to a heat wave.

Climate change is a gradular thing that happens over time. Some years are colder, some are hotter, but gradually the average temperature increases that leads to much hotter summers. It also causes so many other problems including major storms. The problem right now for places like Guatemala is that climate change is making the land infertile. And it's only going to get worse.

We're not talking about end of the world stuff. But we are talking about the earth becoming more difficult for humans. Each year storms and heatwave kills thousands of people. As the climate changes that number will go up exponentially.

Anyone who doesn't get to a climate protest from their house any other way but walking or riding a pushbike or skateboard, is a hypocrite and has no credibility imo. All other modes of transport use the energy they are complaining about.

Yep, I've already said who the target should have been.

But take this into consideration, people are more upset because this girl inconvenienced traffic one solitary morning, while there's no anger at the inaction of politicians and corporations at the massive inconvenience and possible death they are going to cause because of lack of action on climate change

Thats fantastic, pity that's not what they're protesting against and not how the solution works
Ummm - so what are they protesting against and how does the solution work? Not having a go, just trying to understand your point. Thanks

Exactly …. There is a Climate Crisis… there is a Climate Crisis …. Climate Crisis ….. Climate Crisis …!

The actions of these people suggest they are entitled and have been completely brainwashed into thinking they will be the saviours of the world. We all disagree on many things that have differing perspectives to different people - some of these things seem absolutely fundamental to some but others may not think the same. Why do these guys think they have right to stamp their beliefs and perspectives on everyone in such an uncivilised and frankly dangerous manner?

The only emergency I can see is someone in an ambulance being rushed to hospital but unable to get through due to the road blockages! I wonder what would happen if someone died because they could not get to hospital in time because of these blockages - these protesters should be charged in some way for contribution to that death.

It's a long term solution and investment into renewable or other viable energy source.

No one is saying an immediate drop of all carbon emission way of life but gradual replacement of carbon emission way of doing things, obviously with new technology/industry/investment.

So the protest is that not enough is being done to discover this new technology/industry/investment

Their handling of it is pretty bad at times. The bridge incident was terrible and as you said, it could cost lives. And they definitely oversell how bad it is. But an official climate emergency has been declared by most Western countries and states. And this is all based on mountains of scientific evidence.

So not really them pushing an opinion in that respect. They're just following what the scientific reports and projections say. To ignore that stuff and say that it's just an opinion is basically ignoring the experts. It's like if 99.999% of heart surgeons told you that you need heart surgery, and you ignored that but listened to the one heart surgeon who says that you don't need heart surgery. And also ignored the fact that this same heart surgeon has 10 lawsuits against him and also has stock in a funeral service company.

The same reason you choose to ignore overwhelming scientific evidence in a dangerous manner, I guess. Blind ideology and a lack of common sense.

Thanks for clarifying. I have to disagree - it always seems that people fighting for climate change think that’s it’s a problem created by someone else that needs to be resolved by someone else. Rarely is there any acknowledgement that there is also personal responsibility. One can’t spruik an extreme potential issue that will destroy the world but at same time follow practices that contribute to this world destruction, no matter how small that contribution is.

Ok, so when climate change has it's full effect in toll and we have to decide who we should prioritise in saving and who can languish at the end of the queue. I'm sure you'll be more than happy to put your hand up and wait at the last spot of the queue to be saved because you "believed" it wasn't a problem?
