well what quality players are there to sign? but the fukin NRL wants to keep expanding the competition...there's just not enough quality talent..
Agree with this , and although we have made some bad recruiting decisions over the past 6 years or so (most out of desperation to try and fix short term issues) our current recruitment drive is very limited by external factors.

A club is going to get an injury. We have all the utilities and we can trade one for a forward. Gus playing 3D chess.

That's some dodgy chess lol. Sign as many utilities as possible and hope that some other club needs one, and is willing to part with a quality forward for one of ours (rather than signing one of the many utilities still on the open market). Also assuming that forward wants to come here. Also assuming we can make it happen early in the season so the forward has time to learn our structures and players. Gus is playing chess but the board is upside down and most of the pieces are gone.

Tariq Sims can't make the seventeen at the Storm, they were reliable.

There are no quality marquee players. We need a junior production line pronto + actually buying quality juniors that arent duds. If you look at broncs there young kids are all going to be career nrl players. Surely we have talent scouts that arent like Noel Cleal. Our focus should really be on 2026 / 27 versus the bullshit strategies that have wasted the last 8 years

relax everyone, we are going to sign 2 international forwards and a state of origin halfback. gus has read this forum and listened and realised those positions are important as well. its not all about centres and utilities. the great news is their is 93 alpha props available and 26 state of origijn halfbacks available to sign and everyone of them is punching on to join the bulldogs. if thats not enough they all want to come here for less than they can get anywhere else. we can 12 of them under our salary cap as well.
For those of you who have continualyy compplained and moaned at every decision, thankyou. no one at the club was able to work it out, despite having decades of experience.

That is the Ciraldo/Gould plan - and it will take time. We have another 1-2 years of misery before the improvement starts to show.

It's more than that though. Setting those training standards is the main thing. You need to train like a contender before you can be one. And funnily enough once you start doing that, our best players can start to shine which makes things look a lot better.

Thats why we didnt show any interest in Frizell
I don't think we need second rowers. Our backups aren't the best but do the job. It's middles and more middles. Bullfrog knew what we needed.
