I see you have a VF commodore. Have you got a VE SS?
Bro the Holden's are the hardest cars to get because all the collectors hoard them then sell them to others at 5 times the cost lol, but I have 2.

The purple SS ute (as part of a 5 pack) and the green ute as well, not parting ways with these two lol...

These ones I haven't found but am keeping an eye out for on eBay:

3 more pieces framed and revealed in Operation Fortune and Glory..

This is just a simple print of what IMHO is Spielberg’s best composed shot in Raiders..I love it. I can literally hear them singing in Arabic,

Salle ala Nabi.
Wa heyla. Heyla.
Salle ala Nabi.
Ya m' ouwwe.
Salle ala Nabi.
Heyla. Heyla.
Salle ala Nabi.
Ya m' ouwwe.

I think in English translates to,

Prayers on/upon The Prophet.
And let's go. Let's go. (And come on. Come on.)
Prayers on/upon The Prophet
You, who gives strength. (Give us strength.)
Prayers on/upon The Prophet
Let's go. Let's go. (Come on. Come on.)
Prayers on/upon The Prophet.
You, who gives strength. (Give us strength.)

Hope i haven’t butchered that translation, apologies if I have

The next two are Lobby Cards..Scenes from the movie up around the lobby of the cinema. I’m very happy to have these as they are quite rare. I have the complete set of the first two films. I have a compilation poster of the Last Crusade. I will post that next time.

Raiders of the Lost Ark: When they are about to open the Ark.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: When they arrive at the Indian Village.

Cricket books.

Every time I visit the South Coast I pay a visit to the second hand book shop in Ulladulla run by the local Lions Club. I have often come out of the shop with 5 books for $20.

People donate books to the shop and they on-sell them.
I have this one which I figure is from 1898 judging by what is written on it. Unfortunately, the cover has disappeared at some stage, but it seems to have a lot of county cricketers from the time.

I also have all the ABC Cricket books. I got the 1934 one in near mint condition for $200 some years back, but it's worth around $2,000 from what I am told now. I guess you know about Roger Page cricket books & Ken Piesse as well.

I collect sports memorabilia particularly rugby league but also cricket & AFL. I have all the RLW magazines & most of the Big Leagues / Rugby League News programmes. The attached picture was from about 5 years ago when I took the out of the safe to show BL magazine.

I also collect Canterbury stuff, so if anyone has any club issued cards, books, programmes, annual reports & more, let me know.

I also have hundreds of Canterbury games on video & DVD & I am transferring them to digital. Any tech-heads out there who can advise me the best place to store - SSD drives or something else? I have only partially transferred some games & already have terabytes of stuff.

I don't know how you'd have terabytes of footage from only a few games. Definitely invest in an External USB HDD for storage. Seagate or Western Digital are reliable brands.

Seems like your not compressing them in a good format that keep quality but drops storage requirements, what format are you storing them them?

Depending on the software it might not do it in say h265, you might need to re-encode it with different software once you have ripped it, mind you I havent done this for more than 15 years so my info might not be right anymore.

SSD are fine but mechanical drives might be better in this case, something like a western digital red drives - they are designed for storage.

I am not very tech literate I'm afraid. All I have done is record them on my DVD recorder, put them on a disc & copy the files over. A lot of the videos I have obtained have ads in them which I edit out. I don't know how to do it on my PC, so I do it on the DVD recorder. I currently have them on a WD 5T external HD & another as a back-up. It's got 2.6T of Canterbury stuff (I also keep a copy of every try), 1.25T of my favourite AFL Team's games & 0.6T of cricket.

I tried to use an Elegato video capture system, but it dropped quality, I couldn't edit it & the audio & visual were displaced.

Ok, keeping them in DVD format which the recorder is doing is more than 4 times the size you could get them down while maintaining the same image, I can't recommend a way to convert DVDs (into ISO) then to AVI, Mpeg or another format unfortunately, lots of software is plagued with crap so I don't want to recommend one since I haven't done it in ages and wont recommend something I haven't used myself.

You want to find something that convert DVD (once you finished your edits) to ISO, then ISO to MKV or a format you can playback on your device(s), it will reduce the size big time and you won't lose quality.

ISO takes the content off the disc so you can then compress it as you can't go straight from disc If I remember.

Just a heads up for anyone interested.
Downies have a sale on atm(lasts until end of Feb I believe)with over 2000 various collectables reduced either a little or significantly.

I am not yet half way through the catalogue but have noticed there are numerous 1.18 die-cast cars(a lot of which are V8 supercar replicas), i also spotted a pretty cool Nissan Gtr model that caught the eye for $130, also a couple of genuine Red Bull certificated watches etc etc.
Worth a look if you have some time, spare cash and are in the market for something of appeal.

*Buyer beware of course, please check the item online to compare, the deals likely won't always be as sweet as they appear on first look for e.g a couple of coin items the reduced price could still be bettered or matched elsewhere lol
Some of the Diecast cars and watches I mentioned on the other hand seem to be good deals/prices.

Type in Downies dot com and you will find the sale pages easily enough.

*EDIT. You can also filter what you seek if you don't want to peruse the many hundreds of coins and bank notes offered.

I looked and some of the die casts there are a tad on the high price for me (3 figures) but can see a few nice goodies on there, definitely.

I don't have an easy answer for you but can tell you what not to do. Upload them to Youtube. Robelinda had the best cricket channel ever where he did that, digitised his collection and uploaded to YT - dude was famous worldwide. Some dickhead in Bangladesh with 5 subscribers complained about copyright infringement for kicks. YT have this funny process where if you do not actually own the copyright, basically anyone can complain and YT will block it. Until you can prove you own the copyright. He of course couldn't. Blocked out of his own YT.

Poor cnt also uploaded some vids of his kids to that channel and its gone as well. YT will not separate the copyright - you prove you own it all or its not unlocked. Gave up in the end and the best by a long way historical video reference of cricket is gone. Robelinda has the masters but he spent years editing to make it all watchable. Gone gone gone. Guarantee if the dude who complained walked into any cricket ground in India and said he's the guy that complained about Robelinda, dude is dead within 5 seconds.

YT is fine for content creators where you own the copyright. But if there's any copyright risks (and I believe the NRL have made claims about this with YT channels previously), you risk losing all you uploaded.

Rumble is better in that case than YT, but not many RL fans watch Rumble yet. YT are Nax!s & have a virtual monopoly. Any complaints are done via AI & appeals the same way. You have no hope. The NRL should load up everything they have so everyone can enjoy them & spread the word on how good RL can be.
