Stuff you collect

I like this. So brother where do you search for them?
Usually eBay or Facebook diecast groups. When they first come out though they sell like hot cakes. The 7-eleven Supra in particular is a hard one to find at a decent price. Best bet is to make a deal with a seller by doing a bulk purchase.

@Mr 95% this is my latest purchase mate. Should be coming in 2-3 days.

- Fast & Furious set "Brian O'Connor" - this contains iconic cars driven by the Paul Walker in F&F Films. I really only wanted this for the Orange and White Supra, but having the others is a bonus
- Toyota Off Road Series - a lot of the Toyota castings are among my favorite. Having a set of trucks, especially 3 that are vibrant in colour, was always going to be a must-have for me
- 'Tooned' Toyota Supra - well we all know I love my Supras so having this one means I'll have all 'tooned' Supra's to date
- Team Transport - Toyota Off-Road Truck - The Fleet Street is a fantasy car. I would've preferred it if it was an actual Toyota that was the transport like a Tundra pulling a trailer with the off-road truck on it, but it's ok as it is.
- Nissan Skyline R33 - that one is the lone Non-Toyota Related casting in this batch lol. I do like the castings though.

These are a great. Is the Team Transport the red Ute? I actually really like that. Make sure you take a pic of em when you get em. They are all really nice brother.

Ps. The Gulf is groovy too!

No worries brother.

The red ute is part of the off-road series, I think it's the old Landcruiser 70 series.

The Team Transport is the 4WD being hauled by the Fleet Street. All Team Transport have rubber tyres though, so they are premium and a bit more expensive. Here's a better picture of it:

These are great brother! I like em all, but I love the Toyota Tundra. Oh hang on I love the trailer one too. Th Mk4 Supra is a cracker as well. To be honest they are all impressive. I look forward to the day when they are on display.
Thanks mate. I couldn't find any of these on the shelves so they are highly sought after by the collectors.

In 2019, Mattel lost the license with Toyota, and were the only Japanese car that Hot Wheels could no longer create. They got the license back about a year later, and have been a fan favorite since.

@Wahesh @SARGE Hey brothers here is another part of my Indy collection. This is a poster of the eight lobby cards from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Unlike the other lobby cards I have from the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, they are not separated. I thought it’d be interesting to have something a bit different from the other individually framed cards.

If you are wondering what lobby cards are. They are stills of scenes in the film, that used to be displayed in the foyer of movie theatres during the 70s and 80s. The aim was to give you an idea of what happens in the movie.

Mate that looks beautiful. Those lobby cards are awesome, and I remember them being displayed even in the 90s in some cinemas - not so much these days though. That will fit in very nicely with your Indi collection.

Hey I got a question you might know the answer to. There was an Indi movie (I can't recall which one) where he gets into a fight with someone and there's a light aircraft moving. The fight appears to be one-sided, then Indi, seeing the aircraft moving towards the guy he's fighting with, turns his head, and the other guys turns around and the propeller from the plane grinds his face and kills him lol. Do you know which movie this is from?

Also apologies about the bold text, something is up with the Kennel for me and I can't undo it.

Thanks Brother. They sure will.

Raiders of the Lost Ark my man. He is credited as The Mechanic. Fun fact, the actor who plays him, Pat Roach, is the only actor, apart from Harrison Ford to be in the first three movies. He actually dies twice in Raiders, as he is the Big Sherpa who gets shot at Marion’s Bar, the Raven, and cut up by the plane propeller that you mentioned.

As for the characters he plays in the other movies. In Temple of Doom he plays the big Thugee guard that fights Indy and gets squashed by a roller. In Last Crusade he has a quick cameo as a Nazi officer who runs to try to stop an Airship that Indy and his dad are on.

ps. I think everyone is experiencing that bold text my man. I just manually change it by highlighting it and converting it to normal.

Thanks my man. I’ll have to take a pic of all my lobby cards.

Yeah you probably did have the cards! Remember footy cards? They were great back in those days.

@Mr 95% Hope you've been saving.

It belongs in a museum: Indiana Jones' actual whip is up for auction, and it could be yours for the low, low price of $500,000

By George Marston published 6 June 2025

How much would you spend for a whip that was used by Harrison Ford?

One of the most iconic props in action movie history is going on the auction block as memorabilia seller Propstore is about to sell the bullwhip wielded by Harrison Ford as the title character in 1989's beloved sequel Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Propstore bills the whip, the only one of its kind known to be in a private collection, as the "ultimate adventure movie treasure," and it's hard to argue with that. Indiana Jones' whip may not have the flashiness of something like a sci-fi prop along the lines of a lightsaber, but for fans of the venerable adventure franchise, it's just as iconic.

If that's not enough, the auction is actually a lot, which also includes Indy's belt and whip holster, so if you're daring enough (and, frankly, wealthy enough) to win the auction, you can actually don the belt, wear the whip, and have some adventures of your own. Or, you know, display it as a set.

According to Propstore, the whip has been privately owned for decades, having originally been purchased from someone who worked on the production of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It is believed to have been used in the filming of The Last Crusade's big motorcycle chase scene, and includes a production tag denoting that it was used in filming a sequence called the "Rideaway Scene."

The whip and its accompanying pieces will go up for auction this September, and, according to Propstore, are expected to wind up with a price tag somewhere between $250,000 to $500,000, so start saving your pennies now.

Edit: this is actually the German post of lobby cards issued. That means I’ll have to track down the American/Aussie lobby card to complete the set!

My brother... on Sunrise this morning, they said on this day in 1981, Raider of the Lost Ark was released. How ironic, we were talking about this just yesterday lol.

They also said that Tom Sellack was originally offered the role, however couldn't take it on as he was filming Magnum P.I. at the same time.

Also (in a bizarre plot twist) George Lucas, who created both Star Wars and Indian Jones, really really tried to avoid having Harrison Ford play Indian Jones as Star Wars was his main draw card and didn't want Harrison drawing attention away from the Star Wars franchise.
