US President Joe Biden and NASA chief Bill Nelson have revealed the first image from NASA's new space telescope, the deepest view of the cosmos ever captured.

It is said that there are more galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on earth...

It is said that there are more galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on earth...
When the Hubble took the deep field imagine all those years ago, it looked at a section of the sky no bigger than a grain of sand held at arms length. This image is even deeper than that one and you try and count the number of Galaxies in that pic. Vast does not begin to describe space.

Technically it's "more galaxies than grains of sands on all the beaches on earth", because sand will probably win if you include all the sand in the oceans, deserts, etc. But it's still absolutely insane.

They dumped a bunch more images today and there is some really interesting stuff there
