we’ve got an injury crisis and they’re all forwards, why would we rest someone when there’s nobody to replace them.. they get paid to play 27 games, if available they should play
As I said ,
You rest Preston because he's a rookie and he will burn out if he plays every week , so why not rest him when we're most likely to lose on Friday

And King needs a break before he breaks

Morrin and Topine and Billy T and maybe even Hoffman can cover them this week

They can rest during the week, doubt we're even having more than one session this week.

If we're being honest we should rest young Preston this week as he's played 5 big matches in a row for a young rookie it's a smart move to give him a break , a lot of the good coaches rest their young rookies thru the year.

Also would be a great idea to give Max King the week off too , as we all know he's been absolutely killing it for us and been playing big minutes with an injury

We give Topine and Morrin more minutes on the field and maybe even give another young fella from nsw cup a crack too

We give these boys a rest and then we get some troops back for the week after and we come back all guns blazing nice and refreshed

Thoughts ?
If a player is fit to play he should be selected, why deprive him of possible moment of glory ?
The last thing we want to do is to approach the game with a negative attitude.

It's scripted like wwe mate! I also expect a lopsided penalty count, atleast 30 forward passes from Cook and an extremely harsh sin bin in the first 20 to ensure its over by half time.
I bet we get we end up with Gerard Sutton on the field & Ben Cummins in the bunker if this is the case you can put your money and your tips on souths because we won't stand a chance

I have no issue with loosing if the team digs in and has a crack, previous years our losses were due to not just because we simply weren’t good enough it was the lacklustre effort and lack of care/pride in the jersey. It’s likely we loose but if we can score a few and be competitive there’s not much you can say considering we’re already down on numbers with a poor 7. Great test on our D, particularly last 20 sense a blow out late but got faith Ciraldo will get them up for it.

Edit: full strength side and we smack the maggots, either way someone put a shot on walker and get the stretcher out that’s a win in my books.

A loss Is very likely. So is a win! But you never know.. on the day we may win or they may lose. Bit of passion an belief I guess anything can happen.
You can not piss against the wind and expect to stay dry, when it comes to good Friday versus the Easter Bunnies we always get the rough end of the ref's calls. It's a bullshit game most of the time if not always engineered towards a Souths win and a way of punishment for not signing their death certificate all those years ago.

P.S happy Easter everybody :grinning:

We can have all the “grit and determination” in the world, but if we don’t get some footy IQ, we’ll lose more than we win.

Souths are in pretty average form.
Game plan should be to go at Ilias and Walker all day. Hopefully it’s a dry track, if we approach it with the same attacking mindset at Sunday we are a chance.

No coincidence about it Dogs vs Bunnies Good Friday is always circuled in their calendars. Reminds me of the B.S 2014 Grand Final vs Bunnies. You can not deny that which stares you in the face.

Great point. When was the last time we actually won on good friday?
The last time we came close was when Jammer put his body on the line to prevent a field goal attempt. We should have won that game, but Reynolds went down as if he'd never play rugby league again, then jumped up to take the penalty awarded in front of the posts, in a miraculous recovery, to win the game.

Ever since, it has always been a game of revenge from the Bunnies who have enjoyed a big pack, smart halves, and fast backs, against a team that can barely put up a reserve grade side. Still, it is always a day of "glory, glory, to South Sydney", as the media sings the praises of the "Brave Bunnies".

If revenge is a dish best served cold then we have been eating from the same dish every Good Friday since. Who can forget the bottle throwing incident....that was the day James Graham was silenced and Raelene Castle had the Dogs neutered. So happy that the ugly cow is history.

There is no conspiracy, there is no rort. Its loser talk.

FMD this whole playing the victim shit is pathetic.

This is the actual "fact" of the matter. We've been shit for years through our own incompetence.

This year is differant but unfortunetly injuries have taken us out of the contest. Such a shame.

Win or lose, fight till the end. Thats all that can be expected.

Would be some win if we can pull it off. Playing a probable and regular top 4 side, short turnaround and lots of injuries. Will take some effort. I will be glad if we even get close
