Brits are/were heavily involved in the Mid East, especially with us Assyrians, hence the majority of us have British names, served in wars as allies and all our artifacts are still owned and displayed by Britain.
PS the British names came from the Assyrians moving to British camps in Iraq for protection and assimilation.
The whole period surrounding the founding of New Israel is messed up. Honestly it's a period where there were no good guys. But there definitely were bad guys. And that was the British.
You can kind of understand it from each side. The Jewish were being persecuted and tortured all throughout Europe. They were just looking for somewhere safe to life. Somewhere that they wouldn't suffer pogroms. Where they didn't have to worry every day about their family being raped and murdered. So they were desperate. But to get that place, they screwed over the locals.
The Arabs/Palestinians just wanted their own land. A place that wasn't controlled by Sultans. A place where they wouldn't be slaves. And when they were screwed over, they just wanted to keep their land that they were being pushed out of. Unfortunately their response was often horrible. Every year Africa has a record number of rapes. During the founding of New Israel this number was dwarfed by locals raping and murdering the Jewish. There's eye witness reports of babies being literally torn in half. It was disgusting and brutal. But these were a people so angry at the loss of their homes that they didn't know any other way to respond.
Then you have the British. They screwed over the local Arabs. They screwed over the Jews. They just screwed over everyone to get what they wanted. And when the Arabs started fighting to protect their land, the British carried out war crimes that would make the Nazis cringe.
The whole thing was a horrible shit fight and unfortunately, the Palestinians ended up getting the worst of it and they still are to this day.
